OneDrive has made a slight change in the way we download TXT files.

After pressing enter on the Jaws Users OneDrive downloads page, and waiting
for the page to load in IE 11.

1. Go to the top of the page with Control+home key.

2. Press the letter H, for heading four times.

3. Just Down arrow or press the letter U, to jump item by item,to the
tutorial you wish to download.

4. If it is an audio tutorial, after pressing enter on it.

5. The notification bar will come up, press ALT+N, tab to save, press enter.

6. If it is a TXT file, it is done a little different now.

7. Press enter on the TXT file you want to download.

8. Arrow down to, Download menu, press enter, wait a second, press enter a
second time.

9. The notification bar will come up, press ALT+N, tab to save, press enter.

More and more sites are going to pages where you need to know where to press
enter to activate certain things.

This is what OneDrive is doing here.

After pressing enter on the TXT file you wish to download.

You must down arrow to, Download menu, and press enter two times to get the
notification bar to come up.

Then press ALT+n, tab to save, press enter.

Your file is downloaded.

stored in the cloud storage of OneDrive.

There is a 10 second gap in the middle, please ignore and keep listening to

All feedback is welcome on my tutorials. Let me know if this lesson is

[JAWS-Users] four new tutorials have been added to OneDrive

2016-05-29 Thread Jim Flusche
Happy Memorial day weekend Jaws Users list.

I have added four new files to the Jaws Users group OneDrive downloads page.

1. Settings area in W-10 with Jaws 17, part 1, audio.
2. Settings area in W-10 with Jaws 17, part 2, audio.
3. Settings area in W-10 with Jaws 17, part 3, audio.
4. Upgrading to W-10 with Jaws, text.

In each of the settings area with Jaws 17, audio recordings, I cover three
of the main categories of the settings area in W-10 with Jaws 17. As you may
know, Jaws 17 reports items in a different way than did Jaws 16.

In the upgrading to W-10 with Jaws text file, I show you the steps that I
used to upgrade my W-7 computer to Windows 10.

Please enjoy.

Another issue-I was told that I could no longer use my MS Office programs

Hi All,
Last week I contacted MS accessibility to ask if they could assist me with
up-dating to Windows10. I was told that many users, particularly screen
reader users are having problems with Win 10. He said that he would help,
but he didn't recommend it. He explained that most of the individuals having
problems are those up-dating from Windows7 to Windows10. I asked him if I
should first up-date to Windows8.1 and then go to Windows10. He recommended
that I do so. I know that many of you on this list have up-dated to Win10,
but have those of you who went from Win7 to Win10 had a particularly hard
time? I'm looking on Amazon for the cd and I'd rather not buy it if I really
don't need to. I'd appreciate all pros and cons so I can make a final
decision about what I should do. Thanks in advance.
Jo

I unpacked the zip file and placed the contents in folder:

I then ran Goldwave and the scripts do not work. I would greatly appreciate
any advice. Thanks.
