Re: [JAWS-Users] I can no longer open hyperlinks in emails in outlook2010.
I am assuming you are simply pressing the enter key on the link? If yes, then instead try pressing the applications key and go through the "open with" set of options, picking any browser on there that you see. If the browser comes up and the link has taken you to the expected web page, then the answer is probably in your computer's default browser configuration. Re: [JAWS-Users] New KNFBReader app for Windows 10
Did not work for me, and no using the laptop keyboard. It just went back into touch mode three times. Besides it is too late now. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Cristóbal Sent: Saturday, March 4, 2017 4:59 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] New KNFBReader app for Windows 10 Just enable the PC cursor again by pressing the numpad plus button once or twice or Jaws key+semicolon if using the laptop keyboard layout. Then you can arrow around like normal. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Rose Sent: Saturday, March 04, 2017 12:59 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] New KNFBReader app for Windows 10 Since my Open Book software has run away from home during my move, or may be in a box placed above my head, I was hoping to get this for my printer/scanner, however, Jaws turns on the touch cursor and when I tried to buy the site locked up and after 30 minutes I had to turn off the computer to get it to unlock. Not a happy camper. Especially since the sale is so limited, already paid full price for the app on my phone which I can use but I am not particularly handy with the camera. I like the app on my phone but there are times I'd rather used my scanner. Apparently I will have to pay another full price due to the limited nature of this sale, drives me crazy, the Android app (I do not have an Android device, was on sale for ever and ever. I can afford the full price but, it is annoying to have to pay that again when I did so in 2014. Then they started the half price occasional sales but I did not need to buy the app again. Oh, well such is life. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Lynn White Sent: Friday, March 3, 2017 11:24 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] New KNFBReader app for Windows 10 From what I can tell, it does a brilliant job of scanning. I'm using a Cannoscan. I think that's what they're called. The small portable scanner. Re: [JAWS-Users] How To Stop Narrator And Magnifier From Coming Up When Booting Up Computer
Try the following; Go into control panel; E=ease of access center; Now tab until you hear; Use the computer without a display link; Use the computer without a display When you select these tools, they will automatically start each time you sign in. Now uncheck the following boxes; Hear text read aloud Turn on Narrator Narrator reads aloud any text on the screen. You will need speakers. Turn on Audio Description Hear descriptions of what's happening in videos (when available). Now when you boot the computer narrator should not come up. Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Tom Behler Sent: Saturday, March 4, 2017 10:01 PM To: 'Jaws users list' Subject: [JAWS-Users] How To Stop Narrator And Magnifier From Coming Up When Booting Up Computer Hello, everyone. I am experiencing a very strange problem when booting up my current windows 7 laptop. Whenever I boot up the computer, I often have to go through the process 2 or 3 times in order for Jaws to start speaking. And, when this happens, I now also automatically get launched into Narrator and something called the magnifier. The magnifier is set at 200%. I can exit out of the magnifier and out of Narrator, but this is rather inconvenient to say the least. How can I get things back to the point that, when booting up the computer, all that comes up is Jaws. I'm using Jaws 17 here.
