I can't get JAWS to work well at all with the Sirius/XM Radio site where
you
go to listen to internet games. XM does not have any NBA games scheduled
on
their schedule page. Are they not going to carry any NBA games on XM
radio?

Is the only way we can listen to them is to listen on the internet site?
Or, are they not carrying any NBA games at all this year?

Just wondering,

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Problem with Windows mail and WLM

Hi there everybody
I could finally manage to install two new versions of Outlook Express on
Windows 7. One is named Windows mail and the other one is
named Windows Live Mail 8. I know WM and WLM are not the same as OE, but I
mean the interfaces are very similar. Now I have two
problems with both versions. The first problem is, neither one reads the
number of unread messages in my Inbox. the very bad
problem is , JAWS does not distinguish between the read messages and unread
messages. It only keeps saying unread, unread, unread.
I tried that with both WM and WLM8. I also tried both of them with all these
versions of JAWS: 10, 11 and 13.

Is there any kind of solution, script, setting, manipulation, configuration
or newer version of WLM or JAWS that can solve this
problem? For example if I add a piece of code to the scripts, or I use newer
versions of WLM or I use JAWS 14, this problem can be
solved?

Thanks in Advance

Hi all,
I have 14 and XP pro.
This topic is new to me so please be gentle.

I want an efficient way to transfer/copy music from my CD's on to an MP3
player.

Is there a program to do this quickly/easily?
Do you have to burn the music on the hard drive first, or is there some
way to copy the info directly from CD to the MP3 player?

Thanks for any help.

Hello everyone,

I am running Outlook 2007 and the latest version of JAWS 12. I have a
couple issues:

1.When in the message list and in emails, JAWS is very
sluggish-compared to using other applications.

2. When reading emails, JAWS will sometimes read the same line a
second time when I press the down arrow-instead of reading the line that I
am focused on. This also happens when I use the up arrow.

3. When I press the backspace key, JAWS does not accurately tell me
the characters I am deleting; it is accurate in all other Windows
programs.

Would anyone have any suggestions about what might be causing my
problem(s)?

Thanks,

Michael

 Hi Dan,

If you are using Outlook Express try the steps below.

 1. Press alt plus v for view.
 2. Press the letter b for sort.
 3. Arrow to the From selection and check this box. This will put your
e-mails in alphabetical order by name.
 4. Then arrow to either ascending, which will put the a's at the top of

 Good luck,

To do what you want you need stream capturing software. you play the
stream in what ever they require and use the stream capturing
software to record it as it plays. Some of the software will let you
capture and listen and some just captures.
As far as the format goes its what ever you pick, and what ever
 format you want to burn.

[JAWS-Users] downloading question;

2007-09-12 Thread Dan Mccurley
Obviously a person can download music from a site and then, if he wishes, burn
it to a cd; but can someone download the music from a radiostation to the
computer with the intent to burn that music to a cd.

this is the directions for setting hot key to start jaws.
go to the desktop, or any shortcut where ever it is on your computer,
hit alt enter to activate the properties, tab over to short cut key, and
type what you want the combination to be, and hit ok.
 Hope this helps.

The instructions for running jaws as a service pertain to restarting the
program itself. There should be directions if I recall correctly for
 setting
up a hot key short cut on the desk top. I suppose it's time to go take a
 look to make sure myself.

I checked out the tipstricks page under jaws as service. I followed the
instructions and made the folder and changed the path and made the hot
 key.
When I activated the jaws-service it would not take me to the desktop or
 to
different programs that I had open. Is the Jaws as service more limited
 in
its scope? The instructions were perfectly understandable and easy to
 follow. Thank you.

Check out the tips and tricks page for the instructions you are after,
 they
 are definitely there.

When my Jaws 5.0 occasionally cuts off, I used to be able to use
control+alt+j to reactivate Jaws. In the last few weeks, this does not
 work.
Can someone write me off list with some helpful suggestions? Thanks from
 Dan
