Hi David,

With IE open, press Insert / Jaws key + V, for Jaws options.
2. Press the letter P, until you land onn Progress Bar. If Jaws says,
Progress bar spoken, you can press escape to close Jaws options. If Jaws
says, progress bar silent, press the spacebar until Jaws reads progress bar
spoken & press enter to save changes & close.

Again with IE open;

1. Press Insert / Jaws key + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard to

open the configuration manager.
2. Press Alt + S, to open Set Options & press the letter U, to open user
options.
3. You should be on, announce progress bar updates. The default setting is
5 second intervals.
4. Tab to okay, press enter, press control + S, to save your changes, & Alt
+ F4 to close.

Someone please jump in if I've missed something or if I'm wrong to correct
me. Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

Re: [JAWS-Users] Reading with JAWS, How do you know which Bullet

2011-05-06 Thread David L. Bailey
Alan,

Try selecting The line with bullet then press the application key to open
the context and cursor to the bullet submenu, then press the right arrow.
When the submenu opens it will be on the bullet type on the line. This is
given as a number. I do not have a correlation between the numbers and the
bullet shape yet, but you could match numbers to choose the same type of
bullet. BTW your messages need to be hypertext to use bullets.

Thank You,

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Reading with JAWS, How do you know which Bullet

Dear Friends,

Some one sent me a document, and they had lines marked with a "bullet".

I wanted to delete and add lines also starting with a "bullet".

But since there are several "bullet" types, how do I read what kind of
Bullet they have used and what kind of bullet I am using.

I know that in Word, there are several styles of bullets.

By the way, below my signature, I have included instructions on how to make
a bullet for any who do not know, although I might have been the last to
learn this on the planet Earth, that is usually the case!

LOL!

Thanks for your assistance.

press shift plus 8 to type an asterisk at the beginning of a line.

Next, press space bar twice and type the textyou wish to type.

Press enter key and the asterisk will turn into a bullet and a bullet will
be placed at the new line you are at.

I have a student taking JAWS and when we press F to open the Office

but , , is the access key for open andis the

#Hi Roseanna,
#
#If you just want to add someone's email address from an email you just
#received, then with the email open, press and hold down the "left alt
#key"
#and follow this with pressing the number 1 just above the letters twice
#quickly. Now press the application key and from the resulting menu
#choose
#"add to outlook contacts"
#A new contact page will pop up containing the persons email address and
#if
#you wish you can insert extra information about the person. When

#just press alt + F4 to close and answer yes to have it saved in your
