Re: [JAWS-Users] WIN10 upgrade advice from our computer people

2015-11-25 Thread DJ Reese
I notice everyone's situation is different when it comes to upgrading to
Windows 10 so its best you do your homework before taking the plunge.

My all-in one printer is 4 years old so got to find out if there's a Windows
10 driver available. I would hate to upgrade only to find out I have to go
out and purchase a new one.

Also using Open Book 9.0. Is that compatible with windows 10? How about
Microsoft Office 2007? These are my issues that is holding me back from
upgrading to Windows 10.

Hi:

Purchase the Netgear 4500 router. It has to be one of the easiest routers I
have ever installed. Plug and play and I was surprised to find out it comes
without a software CD. The web interface is accessible and that's how you
set it up.

Hi all,

I have a Linksys a6500 at home, it is an smart wifi router, and I am getting
some problems with the web interface of this router. I need a good routher
that allows to connect at least 15 wifi devices multi tasking, , dual band,
and with an UI accessible. It is the most important thing for me, I am not
able to modify the settings in my routehr due to the accessibility problems.

Any advice?

OK what are the columns you are trying to unhide? You can tell what columns

if columns C D E are hidden, jaws will read what's in column B and then
what's in column F.

When you are in Adobe, use Control P to print.

Be patient, it may take a couple minutes for Open Book to boot and start

Press control-shift-o to get to the list of objects and press enter

you're on the text line. that's why you just wipe out all the
characters between the words surrounding it.

If you press enter on the objects in the list from control-shift-o,
you should be on the object. JAWS won't always tell you that. How I
get rid of them is to delete everything to the right and left of the
cursor, a character at a time. Then I replace any spaces I might
have wiped out. then I go back to shift-control-o and see if the
result has changed. It has been my experience that although JFW
reports on the objects in the list, it doesn't indicate when the
cursor is on them.

suggestions:

One workaround for HTML messages that JAWS won't read correctly in Outlook

followed by X followed by v. The H moves focus to the message tab, the X
activates the other actions button, and the V opens the message in the
browser.

Re: [JAWS-Users] The dreaded video intercept error!

2008-12-18 Thread Reese
Most likely your display drivers were not installed when you reformatted and
put windows back on the system. Some drivers aren't installed when windows
is.
Install your display drivers from your CDS and then uninstall jaws and
reinstall it again to fix the issue.
Works for me every time.

From your message, I'm not quite sure what you are talking about.
When you say MS 7, are you talking about internet explorer 7?

Re: [JAWS-Users] transfering an email account to a Vista system

2008-08-28 Thread Reese
David:

If you are just going to transfer one email account to vista, then maybe the
export/import method is the way to go. However, if you wish to go a bit
further then that, using Vista's windows easy transfer program is the way to
go.

Reese

- Original Message -

So it looks like part of my weekend coming up will be wasted setting up a
Vista system for somebody else. Certainly one part of it will be changing
them over from Outlook Express to Windows Mail. The question is can I simply
export the IAF file from the old system and import it in to the new one? My
guess is yes, but since this will be the first time ever being in the same
room as a Vista system I'd like to know everything I can learn before
sitting down to a Saturday afternoon with Vista. So any and all tips will be
received and cataloged for future reference.
