All,

If you have JAWS 13 and have not gotten the update to build 852 yet,
restarting JAWS 13 now should prompted you for the update. We have also
posted the full build on our download pages now if you have any trouble
with the auto update.

Below is the list of changes.

Regards,

Eric Damery

Enhancements in JAWS 13.0.852 (April 2012)

The following is a list of items addressed or added between the final JAWS
13.0.718 release and the JAWS 13.0.852 posting.

a.. Improved how JAWS works in ARIA menus in Internet Explorer and
Firefox.
b.. A new DAISY book on using the Convenient OCR feature is now
available. To install this book, select Check for Updates from the JAWS
Help menu, then choose Convenient OCR DAISY Book.
c.. The NBA, NHL, and MLB ResearchIt lookup sources now include the city
for each team in the results just like with the NFL lookup source.
d.. Resolved issues with the NFL and Business Search ResearchIt lookup
sources not correctly returning results.
e.. Resolved a reported issue where in some cases, characters would be
missing when typing in Microsoft Word.
f.. Addressed issues encountered in WPF applications when selecting text
and navigating by paragraph.
g.. Resolved an issue with the GetColumnText built--in script function
not working as expected in Microsoft Excel.
h.. JAWS now announces the character being deleted when you press the
BACKSPACE key in the Express version of Visual Studio 2010.
i.. When US International is set as the default input language in Windows
7 64-bit, addressed an issue where the Typing Echo setting in JAWS was not
honored when entering text using 32-bit applications such as Microsoft
Word or Internet Explorer. In addition, JAWS would echo the characters in
password edit fields.
j.. In Internet Explorer, If an ARIA live region is inside of an iframe,
JAWS will now read the live region as expected.
k.. Resolved an intermittent issue under Windows 7 64-bit where JAWS
would not close properly when attempting to shut down or reboot the
computer. When this occured, the computer would need to be manually
powered off.
l.. When performing any of the JAWS table navigation keystrokes in a
message in Lotus Notes, JAWS now indicates that table navigation is not
supported. This functionality is not available in Lotus Notes.
m.. Resolved a customer reported issue where Excel 2010 on Windows XP
would unexpectedly close when attempting to navigate in the Names Manager
dialog box.
n.. When navigating a form in Microsoft Word that contains dropdown combo
boxes, resolved an issue where braille Structured Mode was showing mnu
instead of cbo when the field is closed.
o.. Resolved an issue in Microsoft Word where the message "press F1 for
help" was not being flashed in braille when focused on a form field that
offers associated help. If the F1 Help option in Quick Settings is set to
Read with formfield, the help message for a form field is also now flashed
in braille.
p.. Resolved an issue where only the last word was underlined in braille
after pressing CTRL+A to select all in a multi-line edit field in Firefox.
q.. Addressed an issue in Microsoft Outlook where JAWS was saying "bogus
radio button" when using the INSERT+B command to read the Appointment
Recurrence dialog box.
r.. Addressed issues of JAWS not properly identifying Move-up and
Move-down buttons in various Microsoft Office dialog boxes.
s.. Resolved a customer reported issue where the message "computer
braille" was being announced after every keystroke when composing a
message in Lotus Notes 7.
t.. Improved JAWS reading when navigating in ARIA treeviews in Firefox
11.
u.. Resolved an issue with navigating in a Microsoft Word form that uses
a table where pressing INSERT+TAB was not reporting the current position
in the form. This command worked correctly when used in a table that was
not part of a form. In addition, the contents of form fields are now
announced before the table position information.
v.. Resolved an issue where pressing INSERT+H in Lotus Notes to list the
available hot keys was displaying command descriptions, but

Yeah. Microsoft security essential is very good endiid.

However, you may also use Avira; there is a free version as well and it
works great with Jaws.

Hope that helps.

very reliable. I would try microsoft security essentials first. links to
both are below.

Hello,
I also am using AVG, the paid version, which I purchased "On Sale" at
Staples, cheaper than the price on the AVG web site.

What I like about the paid version is that it also contains an anti-malware
feature and also often the definitions are updated 3 times a day, and at
least 2 times a day.

It is very JAWS friendly if you route JAWS to PC.
And that is not a problem for me.

LOL trouble, now that's a blast from the past, good old trash 80's,
ahahahahahahahaha!

to me, it would depend on 1. the type of computer owner you are. and 2. if
this computer has all you could ever see yourself wanting in it already.

such units are probably nice space savers, convenient to get working and
relatively small (if there taking advantage of both flat screen tech and the
availability of decent sounding slim profile speakers that are available)
items. things such as CD/DVD/Blueray are quite small or can be, and most
other components are or can be tiny now a days, there's even a 1.5 inch hard
drive available for small size units.

so if your the type of computer user where your not going to want to change
much, as far as hardware goes, have a limited desktop environment to put the
computer in, or just want a sleek looking machine, then this would be a
good deal.

if your like me, like to be able to add things when I want, don't take my
units to shops to get them worked on, and want to be able to upgrade at will
and without much of a fight with my machine, then I'd stay with the old
tower and separate components models.

Dear Devona,

Prayer Dogs

Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil,
to
save life or to kill?" But they remained silent. He looked around at them in
anger

and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts... -- Mark 3:4-5

My friend, Marlys, who heads up a Christian disabilities group, recently
visited
an internationally renowned prayer center. As she was sitting in the prayer
room,
interceding and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, a staff member from the
prayer
center motioned to her and asked her to step outside. "Ma'am," he said,
"we're
a little concerned about two blind members in your group. The two blind
people went
into the prayer room with their guide dogs. I don't think that's proper. I'm
concerned
that having a dog in the room would grieve the Holy Spirit. How do you think
the

Lord feels about this?"

Marlys could hardly believe her ears. It was all she could do to stifle her
anger.
What she said was, "I think God is saying, 'Hallelujah! I'm glad they're
here!"
Still, the man persisted. He thought someone should remove the dogs and let
the
blind individuals remain in the room to pray. After ten minutes of haggling,
the

staff member finally relented.

The whole affair reminded me of Jesus' words in Matthew 23:23-24, "You give
a tenth
of your spices - mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more
important
matters of the law - justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have
practiced
the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out
a gnat
but swallow a camel." Thank heavens, there is a higher law which
incorporates prudence,

compassion, and a more exalted perspective!

*  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *
*

*  *  *  *

How often we believers lose our focus and put more emphasis on externals,
rules,
and practices, rather than on God's passion for lost and hopeless people.
Which

means more to the Lord... religious decorum, or eternal souls?

Dear Father, keep me from becoming distracted by minor issues and trivial
infractions,
so that I fail to walk in your great yearning for men and women to turn back
to

you. As David prayed so long ago, "Renew a right spirit within me."

Blessings,

Joni and Friends Daily Devotional
September 26, 2011

*  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *
*
*  *  *  *

Blessings,

Rich Robinson might be the person who sent this wonderful guide to us, but
I'm not sure. If he or anyone else has the latest version of this guide and
would send it to the list, I would be most grateful! I will be putting on
the Windows 7 Home Premium on my new computer tomorrow and would love to
have the guide for help to learn the system!

 Many thanks all! Vicky

[JAWS-Users] Fw: [Christians_Today] breathe in breathe out

Breathe In, Breathe Out

By Brenda Gittens
This week's topic: Examine Yourself

What is the one thing we do every day without thinking about it
hardly at all? Breathe. And what’s the one thing that we need to
breathe with? That one thing is air. There are so many different types
of air that we are confronted with on a daily basis. In the natural
atmosphere, the air in some places is filled with so many pollutants,
toxins, germs and odors. But on the other hand, there are places where
we can find fresh, beautiful and clean air too.

On a spiritual level, what type of air are you breathing in? Is it the
fresh, clean, holy presence of the Lord? Are you breathing in the
aroma of His word? Or is it filled with the things that Paul mentioned
to the church of Corinth? “For I am afraid that when I come to visit
you I won’t like what I find, and then you won’t like my response. I
am afraid that I will find quarreling, jealously, outbursts of anger,
selfishness, backstabbing, gossip, conceit, and disorderly behavior.”
(2 Corinthians 12:20, NLT).

When we go for a physical check-up, most of the time the doctor will
tell us to “take a deep long breath and then let it out!” They check
to see if our breathing and everything associated with it, is
operating the way it should be. This is also what the Holy Spirit does
for us. The Holy Spirit lives in us so that we can demonstrate all of
the fruits of the spirit and become more like Christ, have a
consistent prayer life and study of God’s word, have the power to
witness to folks, be ready for any spiritual battle, and have the
power to say no to all kinds of sin.

Spiritual breathing is just like physical breathing. We need it to
live and survive our Christian walk. We inhale and we exhale. If we
inhale long, deep breaths of the Lord’s presence, his word, his will,
his way, his plan, his promises, his love, his joy, his peace, and a
long deep prayer life, we will breathe out all of that other stuff
that’s causing the air in our spiritual body (temple) to be dirty!
We’ll exhale it! The only way that we can keep the air that we breathe
from being polluted, is by continuing to ask the Holy Spirit to live
in us, and us living by the Spirit’s power. “For though your hearts
were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord,
and your behavior should show it! For this light within you produces
only what is good and right and true.” (Ephesians 5:8-9, NLT)

Breathe in, breathe out. In the natural, we do it because that’s how
God made us. In the spiritual, we have to do the same for survival and
growth. One thing to remember is that spiritual breathing is
voluntary; it’s your choice and all it is, is the process of inhaling
what’s pure and clean and exhaling what’s not pure and clean.

Scripture Of The Day: “For though your hearts were once full of
darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior
should show it! For this light within you produces only what is good
and right and true.” - Ephesians 5:8-9 (NLT)
