[JAWS-Users] google drive and onedrive

2015-10-02 Thread kimsansong
Greetings:
I was able to install googledrive last night. I've also heard folks
jumping all over onedrive. What is the difference between the two and
why get one over the other? Is one more accessible than the other?
I've never dealt with these before so excuse the dumb questions.
So far, at least google drive, it's just like dropbox, where it's a
copy and paste thing. OneDrive, I'm not sure because I can't ever get
it to work. Part of it is passwords hahaha. I have so many passwords I
forget which is for what.
So many passwords for everything, pretty soon, my kids will not answer
the door and just say "what's the password" after I knock. haha.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Some helpful navigation shortcut keystrokes for w-10

2015-09-25 Thread kimsansong
It's the same in windows 10; however, it's in the this pc option to
see the drive and stuff.
So when using windows 10, use the directions from earlier to have this
pc show and after pressing windows key e, you will go to file
explorer, formerly known as windows explorer and down arrow or press
the letter of the drive and you will arrive to your destination
safely.

Hi Jim,

In Windows XP & 7, Windows Key + E, would take you to My Computer &
Computer, where the list of drives is shown. What keystroke does this
in
 Windows 10? Not a Win 10 user & I'm curious. Thanks much.
 Take care.

[JAWS-Users] Using Windows key+E, to open your This PC in w-10

2015-09-25 Thread kimsansong
Jim:
Thank you very much!
I've been shift tabbing in file explore and always selecting this pc.
Good grief that drove me nuts, then after all that frustration of
doing that. I noticed I didn't have to do all that.
Why you ask? Because after I log in this pc appears already, but I
never paid attention to that because when I log in, at times I'm not
looking at the screen, one time I did and saw a white screen and
thought nothing of it, not knowing it's the this pc window lol.
Someone give this man a raise.

I want to thank Adam, for reminding me, of this Folder Option change
in w-10.
Changing your Folder Options in w-10:
The “Old folder Options” is now called, File Explorer Options.
So for an easier way of finding it, do the following.
 1. Press enter on the Start button.
 2. Start typing, folder,
 3. Press down and up arrow, look for File Explorer Options, Control
Panel, press enter.
 4. By default, the first item is set to Quick Access.
Down arrow one time to change it to, This PC.
 5. Press Control+Tab, go to, reset Folder Options press the Spacebar,
Confirm again with the Spacebar, this will apply changes to all
folders.
 6. Tab to the OK button and press enter.
 7. Now, when you Press Windows key+e, this keystroke will open your,
This PC, instead of Quick access.
 Now I need some more:

[JAWS-Users] live mail 2015 question

2015-09-25 Thread kimsansong
I'm using charter web mail and I am aware I'm not replying to your
reply to my email so I apologize in advance.
If you did a recorded tutorial I think that would be great.
Lol, I tried installing wlm yesterday as a matter of fact and phew,
what issues I had. It kept freezing and just a mess.
I'll stick to outlook 2013; however, a recorded tutorial would be
great concerning wlm signitures.
Have a good day sir...

I just love computers when they don’t do what you want them to do
even though it has been done correctly. If you are interested then
read on as I explain.

Now I have configured many a signature line in my day and I know how
to set things so that all new messages along with replies and forwards
always get the appropriate signature attached. Having said that in
this case my signature lines only show up on new messages and that’s
all.

I always use a specified file for my signature lines so that if I
ever decide to change my signature for any reason it is much easier
since all I have to do is edit the file rather than going to tools,
options, and flipping past 5 or 6 tabs to get where I want to go and
fiddle with all of that stuff.

FYI I’ve done this in outlook express, outlook 2000, 2003, 2007 and
if there was any other program in my past I am drawing a blank as to
what it was at this moment. The point is it’s not rocket science, it
just won’t work right.

I think you should be pressing alt d or the alternative f6 key. Then you
should be able to copy to clipboard.
The alt a brings up favorites in IE.

Hi Grant,
I do part of my work in a call center setting. Our teck guy did some basic
scripts for jaws to actully make it possible for me to do my job. The data
base is specialized for use in social service referral centers and it's very
difficult to deal with. My collegue was a life-saver. He basically was
taught scripting techniques from the guy who proceeded him, who had taught
himself too. I feel very lucky to have been given such good help..It helps
that Tulsa has a vendor of JAWS and their staff are very willing to
help.
