[JAWS-Users] I'm having trouble with replying.
Hi there. Every time I try to reply to a message by pressing control and R, it keeps telling me when I start to write the message that there are no headings on this page and won't let me reply. Could you tell me why that is? it's the first time I struck it, and it only happened when I upgraded to jaws 10. Surely that wouldn't be what it is would it?kk. Hi KK, It sounds like a server time out issue, so if you go into the account settings, through tools, then accounts, then highlight the account, in fact, you should do this for all of the accounts you have, tab to the properties button for each account, and control+tab over to the advanced tab. In that tab, you'll find a slider labelled server time-out settings. Slide this slider all the way to 100%, which should alleviate this problem you have. Like I said, you should do this for all your accounts, as you never know which account you'll need when sending bulky attachments like this one. Can I ask, why do they bother with it, when jaws is fully functional? it doesn't make sense to me. The voice is disgusting, and I wouldn't use it at all. - Original Message - From: Andrew Head [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, August 09, 2008 6:20 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] narrator not speaking? Hi KK, Narrator is a separate screen reader provided by microsoft. However, microsoft themselves recommend it is only to be used as a temporary screen reader. I have only used it when jaws has stopped working and all I have done with narrator is to try and get jaws back. After that, I've closed it. Each time I've loded Narrator, I've recieved the spoken message which basically says Narrator is not a fully functional screen reader and you would do better to use something different. I personally don't like the voices in narrator either. I'm not bashing narrator, just saying pointing out that really, it's true and better to use jaws or something else. from Andrew - Original Message - From: kk. Thanks for that. I'll do that, kk. - Original Message - From: Victor Gouveia [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2008 11:21 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] I need help with outlook express please? Hi KK, You can virtualize the window with insert+control+W, which will allow you to move through the window, then copy the line, that should be further down the page. If you find yourself on one of the buttons, keep tabbing and you'll eventually get to the error message. If you don't see an error message, that means the errors tab isn't in focus, so do a control+tab to put it in focus, then, if not in the area that details the error, tab around until you get to it, but you'll still want to virtualize the window to copy and paste the error into a message for us. Oh, I almost forgot. If you tab around and you aren't getting any details, either on the error or the status of the mail retrieval, then that means that details are not being shown, so there should be a button called show details, or just plain details, and press the spacebar to show the details, then use the virtual cursor to go through the information in that window to copy it for us. Ever since say a couple of days ago, it's been giving me problems. Mind you, I did have one of my tutors come and fix one problem, only to get another one. Re: [JAWS-Users] I need help with outlook express please?
No I sent the email, but I kept getting this error message every time, but when I sent a single track as an attachment, it went ok. Now I don't get error messages when I'm sending ordinary emails, but as I said before, the attachments are giving me problems. I'm waiting to hear if Rangs got my attachments yesterday. I got into my sent folder and found that I sent six attachments, but when I looked into my outbox, they were still there. This sounds rather confusing doesn't it? - Original Message - From: Denny Huff [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2008 11:42 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] I need help with outlook express please? [JAWS-Users] Jody software?
Hello everyone. Well finally got the problem fixed. There was just a little glitch to my account settings, but does anyone have any information or knows about this software I've been advised to get called Jody? if so, is it jaws friendly. Hi, I believe there's something in advanced settings that will update automatically every so often. To access this, go to the AVG user interface from the context menu you went to before, then press alt t for tools and up arrow and enter for advanced settings. You're now in some weird treeview thing. Go down or press s until you here schedules and press right arrow to expand it. Now select the schedule you want to edit, then tab and edit the schedule. When done, click apply to save your settings and edit another schedule if you want. HTH! - Original Message - From: kk. Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws Question.
Well I'm not sure really, because she didn't tell me, but not only that, but jaws wouldn't talk much to me at all, and yet she managed to get it talking right through whatever she did. Re: [JAWS-Users] Question about mud clients
Hi there. Just wondering about this AVG again. with the older version it used to scan the computer at around eight in the morning our time, so does this latest AVG do the same? I can't hear it scanning if it does, and I don't remember being asked what time for it to scann, or something like that. Hope I haven't confused you, but have totally confused myself.hehehe.kk. - Original Message - From: Derek Roberts [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, July 25, 2008 8:53 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Question about mud clients Hi, What about vipmud from gmagames.com? Once you have done this, route jaws to pc. Scroll up because it sort of puts you on the bottom. As you are scrolling up, wait until you hear Update now button make sure your cursor is on the b inb button. Then left click your mouse button on the keyboard. it then it will tell you updating while your jaws is still routed to pc.. When it says update was successfully finished, it will say finished button. left mouse button on that. hth.. Hope I didn't confuse you too much. Re: [JAWS-Users] Does anyone know how to update automatically the antispyware within AVG?
I'm having trouble trying to get my AVG 8.0 to actually do anything. It's installed, but it keeps telling me that my AVG is out of date, and I can't find where I'm supposed to fix it. Anyone's help would be really appreciated. I've tried everything even getting someone sighted to come and do it, but to no avail, so I thought I'd ask you guys what to do, as I'm pretty hopeless at this kind of thing, but I have tried everything before coming on here to ask.
