Re: [JAWS-Users] using JAWS to Hook bluetooth device to my laptop

I don't think it is the issue of jaws. There is a toggle keys for turning on
and off the wireless connectivity. As Bluetooth also comes in wireless
features, so check this key on your function (f1 to f12). Key. In my hp, I
press f12 to turn my wireless connectivity. thanks

Subject: [JAWS-Users] using JAWS to Hook bluetooth device to my laptop

Hi all, I have an Asus laptop running Windows 8.1 64 bit only 8
months old. I want to connect a pair of Bluetooth headphones. I
cannot find anything in device manager that says Bluetooth. I called
Asus and they said that my model should have Bluetooth built in and
they helped me install some drivers. They were not helpful, because
they had never heard of JAWS to do this. I finally got the drivers to
install. It was Mediatek Bluetooth. When I try to find any settings
that says Bluetooth, there is nothing. Do you think my laptop has no
Bluetooth hardware built in? Is there any other way I can find out if
the hardware is there? If I do not have the Bluetooth hardware, Is
there an adapter to make computers Bluetooth capable? Are there any
other wireless headphones that are not Bluetooth? My headphone jack
has a bad short in it, and I need to listen a lot through headphones.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback you have for me. Thank you so
very much. Take care.

If your netbook is not the Bluetooth enable netbook, you must purchase the
Bluetooth dongle (only from brodcom) will serve the purpose very well. This
dongle is not costly. In india we could get this Bluetooth dongle within rs

[JAWS-Users] help regarding latest mozilla firefox with jaws!

2014-12-04 Thread raaju
Respected list, I'm having a serious issues on my mozilla firefox, therefore
need your kind help.

I'm raju, the regular user of firefox. Web visum is one of the striking add
ons for firefox which allow any visually impaired person to solve the
capcha without sighted assistance.

Actually I was happily using mozilla firevfox 8.0 on my win 7 32 bit
machine, but as I get complaint by many website suggesting to upgrade my
firefox, finally I've switch the latest firefox which is 33 or some thing.
As soon as I have upgrade my firefox, I'm not be able to use google website
in a proper manner which I use the most. I couldn't be able to figure out
the interface of google website which is display on the latest firefox or
jaws read out the content of google in a new firefox. In old firefox,
whenever we search any keyword, the result will displayed in a heading so
that we cannavigate the heading by hitting the h key. But this firefox
has no heading list for search result. In fact after typing my key word on
the search box, I've checked out whole website to achieve the search result
by up/down arrow key butt I really get no search results! Only it is cluster
by numerous adds and location!

So from this platform, I humbly request the experts to help me out in this
matter.

Sincerely yours,

Raju singh.

still using the old version which is adobe reader 9. and it is working fine

2014-08-14 Thread raaju
Hello, though I don't have much knowledge to computer technology, but what
I've gather and implementing on my computer as well, in order to enable
screen reader in safe mode, you first need to enable audio driver in safe
mode. But again due to inavailability of display driver, jaws can't be run
as expected. It may prompt you about the error about mirror display driver
or video intersept manager. So in such case NVDA will be the best screen
reader for such work. And if you couldn't turn your computer on in safe
mode, just do small changes in ms config in safe boot manager, now you'll be
automatically be taken in to safe mode once your computer is restart. And
there is a small registry file which makes your audio driver enable in safe
mode so that you can work without sighted help. Please feel free to live a
message if you need this enabling audio in safe mode registry file.

Thanks!

When, the safe mode screen pops up jaws is not working at this time.
Jaws will only start up on a regular start up, not on safe mode.

If, it did not work, do it again.

The options I use was install and repair windows.
Try running the computer in safe mode.

Why can't you run your antivirus at a regular start up?

to Function Key instead of Multimedia key. It's as easy as that...

I know this can be done because I did it a few years ago for the lap top I
have at home. I don't recall the details, but I do recall that it involved
the use of Control Panel. The computer I am using here at work right now is
a desktop, so I am working from memory. There may be something equivalent in

other versions of Windows.

I hope this helps some one!

Hi all.
So, I'm starting freshmen year of college in the fall, majoring in
Computer Science.
Just wanted to know if any of you knew what programming environments
and languages were accessible?
I know HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XHTML/PHP can be done in notepad,
but what about programs that require their own special software, such
as the Android Java Eclipse?

Thanks,

Jorge

Hi, do you have any ideas what I should start with?
Also, any recommendation or suggestions as to the environments I
should download for c, c++, visual basic or assembly language?
I've tried Java Eclipse before for Android and had limited success.

Re: [JAWS-Users] How to stop jaws announcing graffic number before filename?

2014-02-18 Thread raaju
hmm. What simply I do whenever I found myself in such situation is that I
press insert+v for quick setting or similar, I press down arrow one time to
overcome from added field, and then I press the later g until jaws says
the options of graphic, and by default it is set to all. Now I press
spacebar to toggle non, and press enter to close this dialog box, and save
the changes I have made. Now when I press up/down arrow, jaws won't speak
such graphic. But remember. It is only for temporary purpose. I even don't
know how to turn off the jaws by saying graphics permanently.

Hi learned members, when ever I brouze files in an open file dialogue
box or installed programs list, jaws announces some grafic number
before the file name. say for e.g. grafic 208 c cleaner, grafic 304
kurzweil 1000, graffic 405 microsoft word 2007 etc. I am annoyed of
these grafic announcements. I want to listen the file name directly to
brouze fast, is there any way to stop it?
