Re: [JAWS-Users] Attachments and images inserted in messages in WLM

2014-08-29 Thread Teresa Arroyo
Thank you Mike. I think I managed, but I am not sure because there is a
graphic number which I don't know if it means attachment.
In de viesndropdown I pressed in personalaize, I suppose it is the
custumise, and to be able to check the attachment option I had to uncheck an
option that said 'for all messages'. Is it the right thing? If so, How do I
label the attachment graphick? How do I now which is the number?

As to the one line in messages, I got it right.
Thank you again.

Theresa,

If this is WLM 2012, try this to see that the items that you want to see are
selected to show:

Press the ALT key to open the ribbon tabs.

Left arrow over to the View tab.

Tab down 4 times to the View Drop down menu.

Press Enter on this.

Press Enter on Customize view.

Check to see if Attachments is checked in the box.

If not, press space bar to select it and tab down to Apply and then to OK.
If yes, just tab down to Cancel, and press enter.

Now, if the above does not fix your problem, try the following:

Press the ALT key to open the ribbon tabs.

Left arrow over to the View tab.

Tab down about 10 times until you find the Message List Drop Down menu.

Press Enter to open this.

Arrow down and press Enter on 1 Line View.

NOw, just Escape out of the menus to see if the message view has changed to
show what you are looking for.

If Neither of these fix you up, email me back at the address below, and we
can try some other things.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Attachments and images inserted in messages in WLM

Hello,
Windows 9, latest JAWS AND wlm 16.4.
I have some questions regarding attachments:
1. Mail comes in grouped by subject, that is, the first thing that appears
is the subject, then when I arrow down the names of the senders appear;
there fire, I think, is why I can’t know if the mail comes with an
attachment. What can I do?
2. Once I open a message I have to tab back once or twice to see the
attachments. Insert a tries to read the document though acording to the
keyboard comand regarding attachments appear in the JAWS help as insert a.
Now, the strange thing is that when I go to keyboard management in options
and go through the WLM key comands, attachment odes no appear; it is not
there. So, I tried using insert a using the pass key through, but it didn’t
work.
3. Another problem is that I don’t seem to be able to see where the attached
file is been saved. When I use the contexxt menue the localization option
does not appear. Another issue regarding this item is, How can I tell WLM to
download attachments in a folder I chose? That way I would know where they
are and if I wanted to, I would be able to open it from the actual folder
and save it in another, or attaching it in a new message for some one else.
4. Sometimes peoplle send images or pictures inserted in the message,
instead of doing so as an attachment. How can I save such file alone,
without the message?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,

Teresa Arroyo

Theresa,

Here is how that section should appear:

It is divided into different sections, 1 through 3 I think.
1 Should be a list of 13 items, and For All Messages should be checked.
Not When ther is an attachment.

2. This field should be left blank.
3. This field Name of View should read, Copy of all messages.
No quotes of course.

Then go back and select the Select Columns item, and this where you will
select the items that you would like to see in the message list.
