[JAWS-Users] email rules in outlook
Hi, I've created some rules for outlook messages, now my question is how do I access the list of rules that I have created? For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
[JAWS-Users] Email Rules
Hey Guys, I still have that weird problem with my rules for moving emails. I've double checked and I only have moto folder and not copy to folder checked. I've undone and reset the rules. I've even created new rules for new lists and still the same thing is happening where a copy of the email is ending up in one folder and another copy in a secondary folder. Any ideas? Is this rule you have set up for an email list? If so, does it happen for every email you receive from that list, or just some? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kerryann Ifill Sent: Sunday, August 05, 2007 6:33 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Email Rules Hey Guys, I still have that weird problem with my rules for moving emails. Re: [JAWS-Users] Email Rules
You might have two rules for the same criteria but that do two different actions. How are your rules defined? I use where the To: or CC: line contains as my main rules definition, and it works well. Try stop processing all rules for a time, see if any double copies come in then. (If they don't you'll know it could be something in your rules. if they do, then the duplicates could be something to do with your ISP.) - Original Message - From: Kerryann Ifill [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Sunday, August 05, 2007 12:33 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Email Rules Hey Guys, I still have that weird problem with my rules for moving emails. OK, in the selection that says, what would you like to do with the message, make sure that you have only, move it to the specified folder checked and not, move a copy to the specified folder. Also, in the template, do you have, to a dristribution list checked and not, from someone? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kerryann Ifill Sent: Sunday, August 05, 2007 7:43 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Email Rules I'm sorry Denny, I keeping forgetting to put in all the important stuff. I always maintain that when ever a mailing list provides something in the subject line test for that word or phrase. I do that and my rules never fail. When there is no such option available then I test by the to or CC field. Every once in a while on blind tech somebody sends a blind carbon copy to the list and the message rule bombs out. I agree with you 100% David. I used that principal and still this particular challenge.
