Re: [JAWS-Users] Go To Meeting

2016-11-08 Thread Annette Carr
Hi,

Agree, PowerPoint as a stand-a-lone product is quite usable with JAWS. As
Farfar Dave stated, you will have to get used to working with it as some of
it is not as intuitive as one would expect with the Microsoft Office
products. Not only do I use it for presentations, but I've also used it to
create announcement flyers. With practice you can learn how to insert
graphics, position them and label them. Now using PowerPoint with Go To
Meeting, as already stated, is useless.

HTH,
Annette

Go To Meeting is like many other desktop-sharing applications. They do not
work well for us as a receiver of the feed, since it is a graphical
representation of the other desktop. JAWS does not play well with a pure
graphic representation.

PowerPoint is fine, once you get used to using JAWS with it. Go to the FS
web site and download any training material on using PowerPoint with JAWS so

you won't be frustrated.

MS-Project is pretty hopeless, except for entering your project. Actually
viewing the completed diagram is painful. But I was able to use it in a
college course several years ago, as well as in my job at HP.

I have not found Go To Meeting to be accessible with JAWS 16 or 17 running
on a Windows 7 computer. However, it has been at least 6-8 months since I
last attempted to access it.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Go To Meeting Software with Jaws15?

2014-06-27 Thread Ann Marie Medlar

Hi all,
Today I will test registration software called RegPoint with Jaws15 but I
will access it using go to

meeting software. I will be using IE and XP.
This software is used for management of registration and hope it is good for
our rowing club.
The coach hopes to schedule the night before what rowers and boats will be
needed So each rower will then know what boat is assigned, who will row in
boat, and time of departure from dock.
New people can sign up to register as members and pay dues online. also
accounting software is included.

  http://www.regpointsolutions.com/

Will go to meeting software work seamlessly with Jaws? I don't wish to
state RegPoint software is not compatible if indeed it is go to meeting.

Thanks I'll be back around 8:30; going to row on Halifax River.
Ann

Re: [JAWS-Users] go to meeting

2012-01-04 Thread Shari

Hi Larry,

I have had limited success with GoToMeeting. As part of my job, I have to
attend a variety of meetings and webinars run through the GoToMeeting site.
When I register, a link for the event is emailed which allows me to log in
and hear the event through my computer speakers. However, after accessing
the audio, I am not able to use any of the other features such as submitting
a question, indicating support for a discussion topic, etc. Because the
webinars are convened by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development, I raised the problem of the lack of accessability for full
participation in the webinar. Instead of putting pressure on GoToMeeting to
figure out how to make the site accessible, HUD gave me an email address
that is monitored during the events where I can submit questions.

I'm using Jaws 13, Windows 7 and IE 8.

[JAWS-Users] Go to Meeting

2009-04-22 Thread Ann Byrne
Is 'go to meeting' part of Office, or some other program? How well
does it work with JAWS? We are thinking about using it for remote
JAWS training, and I don't know a thing about it.
