[JAWS-Users] Jaws guide for Google

2010-06-11 Thread David Bailes
I've recently updated my guide to searching using Google to cover recent design
changes. These include the restructuring of the search options, and the
inclusion of landmarks in the results pages to aid navigation. The guide is
available at:
http://bit.ly/aUp36Q

Any suggestions for improvements to the guide are welcome,
David.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws guide for Google

2010-06-11 Thread Dale Leavens

This is an incidental question.

Some time over the past several weeks the appearance of Google has changed
on my computer. The list of pages at the bottom no longer shows witch of the
pages I have visited or at least Jaws doesn't say so, there are a load of
additional suggested related searches after the search results and a few
other annoying presentation changes. I am unaware of changing any settings
and on the computer my wife uses the presentation is the classic one I have
grown to love.

What happened on this computer and how can I put it back?

Thanks to anyone for help with this confusion.

Dale leavens.

2010-06-11 Thread Leonard Morris
To add to the Google mystery issue, my home page is Google. Lately, when I
go to my homepage from the desktop Google displays its content in Tagalog
which is the language of The Philippines. When I click on the English link
everything appears correctly. However, as soon as I close the browser and
open it again Google shows the Tagalog language again. This just started
happening this week and it's not a major problem but it is annoying

2010-06-11 Thread tim

Its nothing you have done. You can blame google for that one.
They put up a way to change the background to what every you would
like or use 4 different ones of there choosing.
They really broke the google page and it made the news here of all of
the complaints about it to google. Google stated that they was going
to put back the old style until more testing went on.

2010-06-11 Thread Dale Leavens
Well, I sort of figured I hadn't done anything, and I thought that it was
probably a google thing except that on my wife's computer we still have the
old default google presentation. I want it back! Do you know if there is
some way to get it back?

Thanks.
