Re: [JAWS-Users] Music transfer?
Thanks for the info. It's getting a bit complicated, so I'll read this over a few times. I have something called Marvel software which I have not used yet. I think it is to make it easy to music files. I normally rip to my computer, so I have a copy of the songs I want, and then move the ripped mp3's to my backup server/drives and my player, but I do know that I could set up my ripper, CDEX to rip, convert and place them on another drive (which your player will register as). if your working with an iPod you will need to do the three stage transfer though, most rippers will require this to move from .cda to .m4a. inthane -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Dan McCurley Sent: Saturday, April 27, 2013 10:06 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Music transfer? Hi all, I have 14 and XP pro. This topic is new to me so please be gentle. I want an efficient way to transfer/copy music from my CD's on to an MP3 player. Is there a program to do this quickly/easily? Do you have to burn the music on the hard drive first, or is there some way to copy the info directly from CD to the MP3 player? Thanks for any help. Re: [JAWS-Users] Music transfer?
Generally, you'll need to rip the tracks from your cd to your hard drive and then transfer them to your mp3 player. What programs to use will partially depend upon the brand of your mp3 player. If an Apple device, you'll most likely need to use iTunes which is accessible with JAWS. If a non'Apple brand, you can use a program like CDEX to rip the tracks to your hard drive and then use either a copy and poaste process to move the tracks to your player or perhaps the player's proprietary software. In this explanation rip is synonymous with your words burn to the hard drive. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Rich Sent: Saturday, April 27, 2013 10:48 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Music transfer? Re: [JAWS-Users] Music transfer?
Hello You can take a CD and rip it with windows media; version 11 is really nice as it allows you set the byte rate. It puts your music in folder called my music. After you are finished with all the CD's you want to rip, I would close out windows media player and then plug in my mp3 player. Then go to my computer, and find your mp3 player in that list of items and press enter. I would make a folder on your mp3 player called music; that way you would know where everything is. And while that's open, go to your my music folder and select what it is you want on your mp3 player. You can either select folders or individual songs. I hope this has been helpful.- Original Message - From: Dan McCurley bearea...@comcast.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, April 27, 2013 1:06 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Music transfer?
