I don't use it, I'm fine with microsoft security.

However, I did a google search on qihoo 360 antivirus and found the
following site

http://www.360safe.com/

It appears that this company is a big company in China and is trying to make
a place in the world market.

I'm not sure how good it is, but a lot of rich folks--stock brokers
etc.--seem to like it.

Think I'll stick with microsoft antivirus right now.

 Hi Gerald,

I installed Qihoo 360 Internet Security, and as much as I can tell, it is
 very compatible with JAWS.

I tried a few things, and they are all very easy to do. It is as easy as
MSE, although I did not try the Sandbox feature.

I did not try to remove the software from my PC.

does
it compare with MSE in terms of JAWS accessibility? I checked some of the

I am hoping that FS can get JAWS to where it will read what is

cursor off, or on.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to make JAWS read what is

Sounds like a promising alternative to AVG and Avast. Are database
definitions updated automatically every day, and can you specify when to
perform automatic quick or full scans? Also, is it necessary to use the JAWS

I have talked to Microsoft and FS about the problem of Windows Defender,
and both have told me that there should be something done at some time.
In defense of Windows Defender, it has saved my computer two or three
times from something getting on my computer, through IE 11. At the time
JAWS did tell me that WD has stopped the malicious item.
JAWS also says, running security scan, right before the download is
complete sounds.

Hi Gerald,

I installed Qihoo 360 Internet Security, and as much as I can tell, it
is
very compatible with JAWS.

I tried a few things, and they are all very easy to do. It is as easy
as
MSE, although I did not try the Sandbox feature.

I did not try to remove the software from my PC.

HTH.

Have you actually installed and used Qihoo 360 Internet Security? How
does
it compare with MSE in terms of JAWS accessibility? I checked some of
the
reviews of this anti-virus program, and it sounds like it may be a
good free
alternative to AVG and Avast, but how compatible is it with JAWS? And
how
easy is it to remove if it doesn't work out?

2014-02-16 Thread Aran_A

Hello,

From my very short experience, I can tell you that you do not need to use JAWS
cursor to perform most tasks. I just checked the application now, and in one
case to move from one group of buttons to the next I used the arrow down key
and then all buttons were accessible using the tab.

I also put the Qihoo 360 Internet Security on my system tray, and it is very
easy to access the available options.

I download my copy from Cnet.com, but there other sites that you can download
Qihoo 360 Internet Security from.

Best wishes,

Aran

Sounds like a promising alternative to AVG and Avast. Are database
definitions updated automatically every day, and can you specify when to
perform automatic quick or full scans? Also, is it necessary to use the JAWS
cursor to access information on the user interface like with MSE?

2014-02-16 Thread Aran_A

Hello,

MSE has very bad reviews, and in addition it performed very poorly in viruses
and malware protection tests.

I checked some reviews about 2014 antivirus and MSE ranked very low, and Qihoo
360 Internet Security ranked very high.

I used MSE for several years, and I never had a virus, but because all the bad
things that I heard about MSE, I decided not to take unnecessary risk.

It is your call to use or not use MSE.

Best wishes,

Re: [JAWS-Users] Qihoo Antivirus

2014-02-16 Thread Bob W
I don't use it, I'm fine with microsoft security.

However, I did a google search on qihoo 360 antivirus and found the
following site

http://www.360safe.com/

It appears that this company is a big company in China and is trying to make
a place in the world market.

I'm not sure how good it is, but a lot of rich folks--stock brokers
etc.--seem to like it.

Think I'll stick with microsoft antivirus right now.
