Mike,
I've done this both ways, but it appears to be
much cleaner if you don't import the IAF's.
Stripped mine down this morning, and manually entered the info for each
e-mail account.
Below is what the paths should look like:

C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail
This is the default path created by Windows Mail.

C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Mike
This is the path created by the Identity program.
In the second path, the last folder can have any name you choose.
The identity program will create a, "Local Folders", folder within the new
folder you create.
Create the identity with the program first, then enter the appropriate info
from within that identity.

Rick Justice

Hi Mike,
You can not create identities in Windows Mail, without a third-party
program.
I suspect you have added another e-mail account, so you will have to
create
message rules to sort the messages.
Also, you will have to remember to choose an account or set one as the
default when sending messages.

Hi John,

I'm trying to get this program set-up but, having some problems. Would you
please post the file paths to the Store folders for each identity? I think
this is where I'm running into problems. All help will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you very, very much.

Hi Lenny,
Yes, it would be, since Vista was the only version of Windows to include
Windows Mail.
Windows 7 can be tweaked to use Windows Mail, but whether this program would
work properly in that situation
is yet to be proven, to the best of my knowledge.

After reading the Windows Mail guide by David Bailes I thought maybe
something could have possibly been improved to allow separate identities to
be created but, I guess I thought wrong. Do you know of any 3rd party
programs that will do this? I guess I could write a script like the 1 below
to help me:

Mike, quit f***ing with your computer when it is working fine! It will keep

Hi Mike,
You can not create identities in Windows Mail, without a third-party
program.
I suspect you have added another e-mail account, so you will have to create
message rules to sort the messages.
Also, you will have to remember to choose an account or set one as the
default when sending messages.

Hi Mike,
You can not create identities in Windows Mail, without a third-party
program.
I suspect you have added another e-mail account, so you will have to create
message rules to sort the messages.
Also, you will have to remember to choose an account or set one as the
default when sending messages.

Hi All,

I'm running Widows7 & Windows Mail as my email client. I just added a 2nd
identity & can't figure out how to make the identities use different
folders. I'm getting emails from both identities in the same In-Box. How
do I make them have separate In-Boxes? All help will be greatly appreciated
& graciously accepted. Thank you all very much.
Take care.
Mike
