Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7 and downloading
Hi Glenn, Just to keep things straight, when you create a shortcut to the Desktop, or anywhere on the computer, it does not move the item. A shortcut is a pointer to a specific item on the computer, whether it is a file, folder etc. HTH, Rick Justice - Original Message - From: "Glenn Lemacher" To: Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 10:58 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7 and downloading After finding this down load folder I simply pointed to it and pressed the applacations key and arrowed to create shortcut and the folder was moved to my Desk top and I then created a short cut key for same and it works well that way. -- From: "tim" Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 9:51 AM To: Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7 and downloading It may not show, but the folder is there under the name given to the computer when setup. Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 7 and downloading
I have already begun to prefer opening things with the Windows key search box rather than having a cluttered desktop. I know it is easy enough for people to add icons to their desktop, but I am glad we have multiple ways of doing the same thing so we can each choose the method that we prefer. I have found Windows 7 much easier to learn to use than I thought it would be.
