[JAWS-Users] contacts in Outlook 2010

2013-12-19 Thread Judy
Hi, all, I went to the file menu, to options and went through the various
options about auto fill in of the address and everything was checked. But
then I tried the suggestion someone made of starting to type in the first
couple letters and hit Control K, and that worked, it brought the address
right up. Mine is not to question why, I'm just glad it now works. There is
only so much one can do at work with security issues and such. Thanks to all
for your help. Judy Tallie

hello;
here's a couple thpoughts for you.

Turn on or off Auto-Complete List name suggestions

The Auto-Complete List is a feature which displays suggestions for names and
e-mail addresses as you begin to type them. These suggestions are possible
matches from a list of names and e-mail addresses from the e-mail messages
 that you have sent.

Auto-Complete list

By default, this feature is turned on in Outlook. To turn on or off
Auto-Complete List name suggestions, do the following:

1. Enter on the File tab.
alt+f=options,

2. Up arrow enter Options.

3. Down-arrow choose Mail.
Do not press enter here.
Use the tab key,
4. Under Send messages, select or clear the Use Auto-Complete List to
suggest names when typing in the To, Cc and Bcc lines check box.

another thing you could do is,
run the SCANPST.EXE,
this can repair the PST file, if in fact there's error to be fixed.
the other thing is, have you made sure that the screen is maximized?
hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.

After you type in a few characters of the address, try pressing control K to

check names.

Hi, at work I am using jaws 12, win 7 and outlook 2010. Even though I have
people in my contacts, if I go to type a new message to one of them, it will
not bring up the contact. My computer at home, which has an older version of
outlook, will bring up contacts as soon as you press the first letter and
you can scroll through to the one you want. At work it does nothing at all.
What can I do or set to make that happen? Thanks in advance. Judy Tallie
