Re: [JAWS-Users] guidance for window 7 mail client

2016-12-13 Thread Adrian Spratt
Gene, you did nothing wrong to offer this option. But we all operate at
different levels of expertise and experience on this list. I'm only suggesting
that we try to note any drawbacks to the recommendations we make. It's hard to
get the right tone to express this in email.

I beg your pardon!

Although you might want to convince me otherwise, I did nothing wrong at all by
letting Iram know that Outlook Express was available if he wanted to use it.
And I gave him credit for being intelligent and that he knew of it's possible
security risks and lack of support, and knew how to deal with them.

Cheers!

Hi Gene and all,
If you choose to use Outlook Express with Windows 7 and above, keep the

Microsoft does not support Outlook Express past Windows XP.
If memory serves, the scripts that were available for this version will

Hi Iram!

If you liked Outlook Express, there is a copy of it for Windows 7 on the
jaws-users web site.

It's on this page:
http://www.jaws-users.com/programs/

You may also want to check the scripts page to see if there are any
scripts written for it.

Cheers!

Hi Gene and all,
If you choose to use Outlook Express with Windows 7 and above, keep the
following in mind:
Microsoft does not support Outlook Express past Windows XP.
If memory serves, the scripts that were available for this version will not
work with Jaws 17 and above,
since Jaws no longer supports it.

HTH,
Rick Justice

Tomorrow's another day, another way!
and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved!
