Gerald,
Is the hotkey detective a vista thing or does it matter, which OS is being
used?

My original question was concerning keystrokes.
I just wanted to know if I had two keystrokes for one thing how do I delete
one of them. The person might've not understood me so I elaborated a bit
more using what I used, which was jfw and WE.

If you have two different hot keys assigned to start the same program, the
best way to delete the one you don't want is to run a little utility called
Hot Key Detective, which lists all the hot keys on your computer and allows
you to change or delete them as desired. You can download Hot Key Detective
from the JAWS Users programs page (it's item 30 under the Utilities
heading):

[JAWS-Users] keystroke for starting screen readers

2009-10-22 Thread Kimsan
 Hi,
Is it possible to have more than one keystroke to start a screen reader?
I have another screen reader loaded on my machine and I think there is two
keystrokes to start the screen reader.
How would I iliminate one of the keystrokes?

Follow the instructions I outlined earlier (see below) to remove ctrl alt I
as the unwanted keystroke.

If I understand your issue, you should be able to find the specific shortcut
to your screen readers (jaws 10) on your desktop in XP. Locate it and alt
enter to bring up properys. Tab down until you hear the shortcut key and
backspace once. this will erase the keystroke. Now tab down until you hear
apply and press spacebar, tab to ok and you are done.
