Re: [JAWS-Users] problem with PDF document
Vicki, for some weird, strange reason, sometimes pressing the applications key or shift+f10 gives you choices that the right click doesn't offer. try pressing these keys to see what happens. also, what browser are you using? Firefox can automatically save the pdf instead of opening it online. but if you want to save the pdf after reviewing it online, there should be a save or save as option in the file menu of reader dc. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Vicki Sent: Friday, May 13, 2016 6:50 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] problem with PDF document No, the link only says "get file" and I tried to right click to see if that worked anyway, and it did not. - Original Message - From: "Mario" <mrb...@hotmail.com> To: <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2016 6:05 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] problem with PDF document Vicki, when you land on the link to open the pdf, if you right click, do you have an option to save the link as... and enter on the name of the file? Have you tried the convenient OCR. On occasion it has helped me. Once you run the convenient OCR you can arrow around with the jaws cursor and click on items. For convenient OCR you press jawsKey + spacebar followed W for window. Re: [JAWS-Users] problem with PDF document
I am using JAWS 17 and MAGic 13 with a little vision but run into your Context menu problem constantly on bank web sites. AS a CPA I go to most of the major banks and many not so major to download bank statements. In 90% of the cases JAWS does not read the context menu even though it is there. When you have your bank statement pulled up on the screen try pressing the ALT key to see if it brings up the Menu Bar options. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Vicki Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2016 2:06 PM To: JAWS <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Subject: [JAWS-Users] problem with PDF document Is there a setting that will allow the menus or tools to show up with JAWS 14 or 17 so that a document can be saved?
