Re: [JAWS-Users] regarding not finding names in contacts
Hello Dave, I didn't mention anything about a folder with the word suggestions in it in my message. You simply asked where the extra names were coming from and I explained that in Outlook 2003 the nickname cache is contained in a NK2 file. The autocomplete can be stopped from suggesting names to you, and I mentioned changing a setting in your advanced Email options to make that happen. I don't have Outlook 2003 but if I remember correctly the checkbox to change is accessed by going into the tools menu, options, and then finding the page tab for mail options. It is either a checkbox in that page tab or you might have a button for advanced mail options, I really don't remember. I didn't mention anything about renaming a file. I made mention of getting a NK2 editor program to get rid of individual entries in the NK2 file but the only time a person should need to rename the file is if it didn't match the current profile name. Take care. To stop autocomplete suggestions without deleting the file you can go to your advanced Email options and deselect the option for suggesting names. There are a couple editing programs for NK2 files but I have not ever used one. nk2edit and Debunk2 are a couple of them. Take care.
