I use Roadrunner, with Eudora, Outlook 2003, or outlook Express, depending on the PC that I happen to be using at the time. I also sometimes use their Webmail when I can't access my account any other way. I am not a fan of Webmail, but theirs is as easy to use as any I have tried. Are you using an email client? I just sent myself a message to outlook express and to my Eudora mail and neither email had any extra stuff at the top. I like using two different email services since I use my charter account for personal mail and my gmail account for general mail and mailing lists. One really big advantage for me is that when I travel, which we do quite a lot, I can always send email out with the gmail account even though I might be hooked up to roadrunner or Verizon or Comcast or whatever. This saves having to configure a separate account for these in my OE in order to send mail. If you want to send mail out from regular companies like Verizon you would have to know the person's user name and password to mail out. This is what I discovered when traveling. Another reason I like the gmail for mailing lists and such is that even if you have deleted an email from your OE files you can still go back on gmail and search for it. That has saved me several times. I use both on my PAC Mate. I actually use live mail because of the direct push feature on the PM. The only thing is, I can't send a file larger than a meg, so if I need to send a bigger file, I use gmail. I could use my PC for that, but it isn't always convenient. I prefer to use my own e-mail service. It is relatively inexpensive to register a domain and pay for web or e-mail only hosting. The following advantages are why I chose this method. 1. Almost all e-mail hosting services provide pop / imap hosting 2. Many services provide several web-mail interfaces to choose from 3. If you have pop access you can use the accessible e-mail client of your choice a. Past messages are always available on your system, regardless of Internet access b. You can compose e-mails without Internet access and have the client send them when you are ready 4. Your address stays the same regardless of changing ISPs or the need to change web-based mail providers because of accessibility issues. 5.
