Should work just fine with JAWS I would say.

Regarding the other discussions, can't really comment on that but I am finding
Microsoft Windows 10 o.k.

I just called a very small family computer repair and sales shop. I was curious
to see what they may have in stock to compare to the Hp at staples.
They have an older new laptop with windows 7 home. It is an Asus x550a I3, 4gb
ram and a T-byte system for $250.
Wonder if it will work ok with jaws.
He highly recommended that I stay away from win 10. He has about 15 computers
on the shelf to have win 10 removed and a few more coming into the shop.
He also stated that there was something on the news that windows 10 tracks you.
That was on the morning news.

Re: [JAWS-Users] laptop computer win 7

2015-11-26 Thread Steve
There are step-by-step instructions posted for accomplishing this; I've seen
articles in Windows Secrets newsletter which I religiously subscribe to; as
well
as a lot of other placesone can find by searching Google.

The directions are simple enough that a person with a modicum of intelligence
and the ability to follow step-by-step procedures can easily succeed.

The folks at Microsoft had a reason for setting this up; I'm sure many people
won't bother to make the corrections. But, those who are sensitive about
privacy and such can make these changes easily.

But, should we really have to do this, or try to find the technical savy help

get this accomplished?

Yes, it will work.

There are ways to modify Win 10 if that tracking really bothers you.

The drawback on buying a new PC with Win 7 is that you will not get any
security
updates in less than five years.
