Hi.

The pirate bay site has now switched to magnet links. Torrent files will
not be available from their site any more. You may have trouble clicking
on one of these, i haven't tried it yet so don't know how accessible
those links are, if they're labeled etc.

all the best,

and, you know you're asking about accessing pirated material on a

That's why it helps to read the comments, the previous downloaders will tell
you if it's legit or not. And the ones that say trusted, are good to go.
By the way downloading torrents is not illegal, selling the content you get

Where did you hear that?

It is not illegal to use utorrent. Downloading Copyrighted material is
definately illegal! Even for your own use, it is considered stealing.
I am sure selling them would certainly increase the already huge fines
the court demands if caught. They do not even care if you ever listened
to a song on your hard drive. If it is there, you are guilty.

Clifton,

You really ought to explain your reasoning.
Since just about 99% of torrents are for the purpose of sharing copyrighted
material, please explain how downloading is legal while selling is not. Do
this in terms of international copyright law and the DMCA.

Maybe if you read those laws before you explain, you won't be some full of

You really ought to explain your reasoning.
Since just about 99% of torrents are for the purpose of sharing copyrighted
material, please explain how downloading is legal while selling is not. Do
this in terms of international copyright law and the DMCA.

Maybe if you read those laws before you explain, you won't be some full of
bulls**t.

I don't have to read, because it has all been explained on the website. And
if they are for your own personal use, then there is nothing else to be
said. And next time spell my name right.

Re: [JAWS-Users] uTorrent?

2012-02-29 Thread Chris Smart
Cliphton, copying something you yourself own for personal use is
different from simply receiving a copy from someone else. I'm sure
you'll correct me if I'm wrong.
Maybe you'd feel differently if you wrote a novel, recorded a song,
etc. and everybody just pirated it instead of buying a copy.

Okay folks, since this has strayed from Jaws, and taken a different turn
it's time to kill the conversation.
It's now 3:25 PM Eastern time, any posts submitted after 4:30 PM Eastern
time will result in
a reduction in list membership.
I hope everyone is clear on this!
