[JBoss-user] turn off dtd validation

2004-10-10 Thread Hoang-Vu PHUNG
Hi all,

My jboss-service.xml has ValidateDTDS set to false.
However when I want to deploy my ejb jar file, jboss
tries to connect to java.sun.com (specified in DOCTYPE
in
ejb-jar.xml file). I would like to know how to disable
this behavior.

Thanks a lot.
Vu

[JBoss-user] [Persistence CMP/JBoss] - Collection and Compound Primary Key

2004-10-10 Thread ___martin___
Hallo!

Once again: I think I've found a strange behavior of JBoss. I'm using a table with a
compound primary key. I try to get a collection of values from the table via a
find-method. This collection should contain Local Interfaces.
If the returned collection contains a single row of the table I can use the local
inferface returned by the collection, but as soon as the returned collection consists
of two or more db-table rows I can't use the local interfaces returned by the
collection. Instead I've to get a primary key with getPrimaryKey() and then a local
interface by calling findByPrimaryKey(PK).

Is this the normal behavior of jboss 3.2.3 or not? I'm using EJB 2.0 and cmp.
any hints, help, ... is very welcome.

regards,
martin

[JBoss-user] [Installation Configuration] - Re: Log4j problem on jboss3.2.3!!!!

2004-10-10 Thread HuckFinn
I have the same problem...

Yes, apparently the creation of the log directory and boot.log file fail as JBoss
tries to write them under root, where mortal users have no access to.

I specifically have this problem when firing up JBoss from Eclipse+Lomboz; I don't
know if it's a Lomboz problem or not. I have a hunch that it might be due to Lomboz
starting JBoss so that the current working directory is / ?

Is there a way to configure the log file's location somewhere in JBoss configs?

I'm quite surprised that this issue hasn't been talked about more as it seems to me it
is something a newbie is going to bump into as first thing out of the box...
