ok, better - I went back to the wiki and release notes just to make sure I am 
not a complete idiot, and the way I read this:

In JBoss 4.0.4 we switched the J2EE web services stack from our Axis based 
version...

and, this from the release notes:
JBoss webservices updated to the new JBossWS stack

There is nothing about selecting ejb3 profile, I would suggest the docs need to 
make this a bit more clear.

[JBoss-user] [JBossWS] - jboss4.0.4.CR2 with old ws14 stuff?

I just downloaded the installer version and zip version, both come with 
.../deploy/jbossws14.sar, all the docs point to jbossws.sar.  What am I 
missing?  Does it not come packaged with the new JBossWS ?
