[JBoss-user] [Beginners Corner] - Re: DeploymentException UnknownHostException www.jboss.org
It is very simple to test. 1. Unplug your network cable 2. Start up JBoss (with an application to deploy) Here is the error: 2005-03-23 09:37:31,813 WARN [org.jboss.system.ServiceController.start:425] Problem starting service jboss.j2ee:jndiName=ifs/remote/Permission,service=EJB MBeanException: org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: www.jboss.org; - nested throwable: (java.net.UnknownHostException: www.jboss.org) Cause: org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: www.jboss.org; - nested throwable: (java.net.UnknownHostException: www.jboss.org) at org.jboss.mx.server.ReflectedDispatcher.handleInvocationExceptions(ReflectedDispatcher.java:91) at org.jboss.mx.server.ReflectedDispatcher.dispatch(ReflectedDispatcher.java:64) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:62) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:54) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.invoke(Invocation.java:82) at org.jboss.mx.server.AbstractMBeanInvoker.invoke(AbstractMBeanInvoker.java:197) at org.jboss.mx.server.MBeanServerImpl.invoke(MBeanServerImpl.java:473) at org.jboss.system.ServiceController$ServiceProxy.invoke(ServiceController.java:884) at $Proxy18.start(Unknown Source) at org.jboss.system.ServiceController.start(ServiceController.java:414) at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor5.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:324) at org.jboss.mx.server.ReflectedDispatcher.dispatch(ReflectedDispatcher.java:60) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:62) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:54) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.invoke(Invocation.java:82) at org.jboss.mx.server.AbstractMBeanInvoker.invoke(AbstractMBeanInvoker.java:197) at org.jboss.mx.server.MBeanServerImpl.invoke(MBeanServerImpl.java:473) at org.jboss.mx.util.MBeanProxyExt.invoke(MBeanProxyExt.java:176) at $Proxy41.start(Unknown Source) at org.jboss.ejb.EjbModule.startService(EjbModule.java:367) at org.jboss.system.ServiceMBeanSupport.jbossInternalStart(ServiceMBeanSupport.java:271) at org.jboss.system.ServiceMBeanSupport.jbossInternalLifecycle(ServiceMBeanSupport.java:221) at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor54.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:324) at org.jboss.mx.server.ReflectedDispatcher.dispatch(ReflectedDispatcher.java:60) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:62) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:54) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.invoke(Invocation.java:82) at org.jboss.mx.server.AbstractMBeanInvoker.invoke(AbstractMBeanInvoker.java:197) at org.jboss.mx.server.MBeanServerImpl.invoke(MBeanServerImpl.java:473) at org.jboss.system.ServiceController$ServiceProxy.invoke(ServiceController.java:884) at $Proxy18.start(Unknown Source) at org.jboss.system.ServiceController.start(ServiceController.java:414) at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor5.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:324) at org.jboss.mx.server.ReflectedDispatcher.dispatch(ReflectedDispatcher.java:60) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:62) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:54) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.invoke(Invocation.java:82) at org.jboss.mx.server.AbstractMBeanInvoker.invoke(AbstractMBeanInvoker.java:197) at org.jboss.mx.server.MBeanServerImpl.invoke(MBeanServerImpl.java:473) at org.jboss.mx.util.MBeanProxyExt.invoke(MBeanProxyExt.java:176) at $Proxy15.start(Unknown Source) at org.jboss.ejb.EJBDeployer.start(EJBDeployer.java:570) at org.jboss.deployment.MainDeployer.start(MainDeployer.java:829) at org.jboss.deployment.MainDeployer.start(MainDeployer.java:821) at org.jboss.deployment.MainDeployer.deploy(MainDeployer.java:641) at org.jboss.deployment.MainDeployer.deploy(MainDeployer.java:604) at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor16.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:324) at org.jboss.mx.server.ReflectedDispatcher.dispatch(ReflectedDispatcher.java:60) at org.jboss.mx.server.Invocation.dispatch(Invocation.java:62) at

Bumping this up. This is quite disturbing that no one is responding to this call back. What is jboss sending home?! [JBoss-user] [Beginners Corner] - DeploymentException UnknownHostException www.jboss.org
I was working on some J2EE code today on my notebook and noticed that if I did not have an internet connection that jboss would fail to start up. Is there some way to turn off this call home feature? Why does jboss need to call home? Any help in this area would be appreciated View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3870871#3870871 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=3870871 --- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users. [JBoss-user] [Persistence CMP/JBoss] - Broken Pipe issue with JBoss 3.2.6 and Oracle 8i
First let me state that I am pretty sure this is an issue with my configuration. The database I am going against is pre-existing and the documentation for it is long since gone. My question is, is there any way to see the sql statements that JBoss is throwing against the database so I can determine what is causing my broken pipe error? The error is occuring upon creation of a new bean. Loading an existing row/bean works fine but new creation of some of the beans fails. This leads me to believe that there is something strange with the tables that are failing. If I could recreate the SQL I could determine this. So, like hibernate, is there any way to see what sql JBoss is using behind the scenes?
