Re: Deploying Build Artifacts

2013-07-26 Thread deevant07
Hi David,

I have tried the way you explained for Promoting the old builds but still
not successful. I am not sure where i am missing the configuration.

Can you please provide me the detailed steps(Plugin wise) to create a job
that can promote the older builds?

My requirement is as follows.

1. I have the QA build say 12 deployed.
2. Due to some reason i want to revert back to build 11.

Currently when i go to the particular build and run promotion its picking
the latest artifacts as the target folder is from workspace rather than the
build folder.

Thanks in Advance,
Deevan

I just set up a 1.509.2 test instance from scratch. My 'reader' user
(permisisons Overall/Read, Job/Read when using Matrix-based security) can
create new views for himself and has access to configuring himself (including
the default 'My View') at /user/username/configure. Are you sure they're not
clicking on 'My Views' instead of their user name?

> Apart from that this enables you only to choose the default view but not

It's similar to the global 'All' view: Configure a different one as default to
be able delete it afterwards. To rename, delete 'All' and then add it again.
Apart from that, 'All' has no configuration.

Thanks!  I've downloaded the components, installed them, and performed some

I guess I've sent out this announcement too soon out of the excitement.

Git client plugin 1.1.1 is visible in the update center now.

Is there an estimate for how long it will be before Git Client plugin 1.1.1 is

 Hi,

We've been working on a major improvement on Git plugin, and it's now at
the point that it's ready for general consumption.

As Git plugin is used by many and we want to reduce the chance of
regressions, I'm calling for people to try out this unreleased Git 2.0
 plugin.

Please see [1] for the new features and how to try this out on your own
instance. Looking forward to hearing the feedbacks.

The strange thing is that people seem to be able to access "Configure"
only when being an Admin user. "Normal" users aren't allowed to do so
(we're running 1.509.2 LTS).

Apart from that this enables you only to choose the default view but not

Alter/Remove "All" view in "My Views"

Does someone know a way to remove or alter the "All" view in "My Views"?
There is a way to do so for the global "All" view

Even if I can't change the "All" view, enabling an other view as default
