Yeah, copy it and move it out. I read somewhere that it should regenerate.
If not, I think you can log in with the default username and password
(prints to console) and disable security like that.

SAML plugin with SSO

2018-09-24 Thread Prasu S
Hi ,

We are planning to implement MFA(multi factor authentication) for Jenkins
2.138 . I installed SAML plugin 1.0.7 and configured it with IDP metadata
provided by service provider.Display Name attribute and group attribute are
auto filled by Jenkins as below . After restarting Jenkins , it goes
through all the MFA steps like entering username /password/OTP(PIN) and
after successful verification of all the login information , it goes back
to SSO login screen instead of Jenkins application . We are using project
-based Matrix Authorization Strategy which is tied with Network username
and password(ENT). Any idea why we are not able to connect to the Jenkins
application ? Thanks in advance.

blueocean hangs listing repositories for my organization

2018-09-24 Thread Doug Bergh
1.8.3 · Core 2.138.1 · b0a6adb · 20th September 2018 01:48 PM

Trying to create a pipeline for a github repository with the blueocean
wizard...

I select my organization under 'Which organization does the repository
belong to?'

It shows 'Loading...' indefinitely.

There is a javascript error in my Chrome console:

TypeError: Cannot read property 'items' of undefined
at GithubFlowManager._updateRepositories
(jenkins-js-extension.js:105824)
at executeAction (jenkins-js-extension.js:53907)
at GithubFlowManager.res (jenkins-js-extension.js:53879)
at jenkins-js-extension.js:105805

I have access to three organizations on github, and the other two show
repository lists immediately, no problem.

Any help appreciated!

Re: Revoke user tokens warning

2018-09-24 Thread Jeff Thompson
Yes, the API tokens are typically used by processes to connect to Jenkins APIs
and perform scheduled or responsive operations. These are usually separate from
regular users who login using the login page. The prior behavior involved
automatic creation of API tokens for users, whether there was any need for them
or not. Better practice is to only create them as needed.

If you haven’t set up any processes or agents to connect via API tokens, then
you should be safe to just revoke all legacy ones. If you have some API tokens
in use, then you should re-configure them for the new-style tokens as Matthew
mentions. If you revoke all tokens and then discover some processes or agents
can no longer connect and authenticate, then you’ll need to perform that
re-configuration after the fact.

Re: Jenkins Testing failed after migrating to 2.121 LTS

2018-09-24 Thread Mark Waite
You'll need to provide significantly more details before anyone will be
able to provide meaningful help.

Some of the questions that arose when I saw your description:

   - Is that failure in a specific job or in every job?
   - What are the characteristics of that job (if a specific job)?
   - Do those tests fail when executed from the command line?
   - Do those tests fail when executed from inside a Docker image defined
to build and execute the tests?
   - Since I've never seen an "org.testing.Assert" library, I assume there
is either a typo in your stack trace or you're using a special library. Is
there a typo or are you using a special library?
   - Can you duplicate the failure outside Jenkins?
   - What JDK are you running in the failing environment?
   - What JDK was running in the environment where it worked?
   - Is this specific to a certain platform (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD,
   zLinux, etc.)

By posting minimal information and then repeatedly asking for a status
update, you're not showing any indication that you've investigated the
issue more deeply yourself, nor that you're willing to spend energy to
investigate more deeply.

Persuade the people in the mailing list that you've investigated further by
including detailed descriptions of the experiments you've attempted and the
results of those experiments. Describing your investigation will help you
and will probably help others who encounter similar problems in the future.

on a new jenkin instance 2.121.3 (Artifactory plugin 1.16.2 ) and here the
jobs fails
: Artifactory publish plugin throws exception when no artifacts found in
the workdir ..
This was not seen on enkin instance 2.121.3 with Artifactory plugin 1.16.1.
PLease suggest any solution ..

Re: Not able to access and create files in path location(\\\\192.168.0.1/f$/D:\\p.txt)

2018-09-24 Thread Andreas Magnusson
Your UNC path looks very strange. As I interpret it you have the following
parts:
192.168.0.1 - localhost probably
f$ - automatic share created by windows on drive F:
D:\\p.txt - file on another drive

Question is, what are you trying to access? You could try:
192.168.0.1\D$\p.txt
