using people redirector plugin
Hello. I have installed the people redirector plugin (plugin mgr confirms installation) but it does not seem to work. I have supplied an http link similar to the example and also tried simply checking the "disable redirection" box. when I click on the "People" link on the main dashboard it still goes to the internal people DB either way. Can anyone tell me how to make this work? thanks, John. background: We want to use this server to work with external companies and so do not want users to login and follow the dashboard people link and see other user accounts. Since I got no response re: disabling or securing the dashboard people link, I was hoping I could use this people redirector plugin to either disable or redirect some where else.
dashboard people access control question
I am new to this list so please forgive any protocol violation(s). I am deploying a jenkins server at my company and have everything working except one item. I use LDAP authentication and groups along with the "Project-based Matrix Authorization Strategy" configuration to restrict users to designated projects. This works ok, but when a user logs in they see and can open the "People" link on the dashboard and view other user accounts. We do not want users to see other projects or user accounts on the server - only the project they have been granted access to. I have not been able to tweak permissions to prevent this. Also tried the role management plugin and it has same behaviour. I would appreciate if anyone can point me to documentation etc. that would allow me to control access (e.g. admins only) to the People view. thanks, John.
