Hi all, I hope I'm not too late with my comment. Not at all, I won't work on it before July. I am just gathering ideas on how to do it, to decide how it will be done before I find the time. Currently there is a XSLT stylesheet in CVS that converts the above XML format into DocBook XML, which is too in CVS. I didn't see it at first, but I finally found it. I'm not sure how well gettext works with XML files in general, but I would prefer to have gettext translate the XML created with the XML directly from the XSL+js, as Bob created for me... That sounds good. In fact, it seems that the framework is already in place (I think Jmol/doc/source/po contains what is needed for the translation). It seems to me a translation involves two issues: Content and Headings. Heading translation is static and easy, I think. Just define the replacement words. Content could be easy.
