coba ke warnet SHIKYU, dia pake suse 10.1 buat clientnya. alamatnya jakal KM
5 karang bendo CT III/5. tempatnya utara fak pertanian UGM. ancer2nya :
bakso pak ateng ke utara, gang pertama belok kanan, letaknya di kiri jalan.
kalo mo ngopi cd installernya kayanya juga boleh. kalo mo nanya2 lebih jauh
bisa kontak Hisam / Kholid. :)

kemarin saya ngupgrade OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 ke 2.0.3 di Suse 10.0
waktu itu proses upgradenya sukses (RPM & desktop integrationnya)
pas saya run Open office & saya liat di Help --> About, yg keluar kok masih
Open Office 2.0.2 ya?
saya coba cek paket yang terinstall nongolnya udahOpen Office 2.0.3
kira - kira yang salah dimana ya??

Iya...jogja emang dilanda gempa bumi lumayan kenceng (kata BMG sih 5,9 SR)
jadi ceritanya, kemarin sabtu pagi jam 6 pagi kurang dikit ada getaran gede
+ suara gemuruh (mirip suara kereta api tapi tanpa tuit2.. gemuruh gitu
deh)..

Pas itu saya lagi giliran jaga, lagi nyapu di warnet..trus tiba2 saya kaya
hilang keseimbangan gitu ya Allah, bumi ini rasanya berguncang, +/- 10
detik, tapi itu dah bikin dinding warnet retak2, atap rumah (genteng)
tetangga pada berjatuhan..

Listrik sempet padam, tapi ga lama (+/-) 30 menit.. selama 06:00 - 06:30
masih ada beberapa gempa susulan, tapi jauh lebih kecil dan lebih sebentar
(tapi ya masih kerasa juga)..
Pas jam 6:45 saya naik atap warnet, masyaallah, gunung merapi ikutan batuk2,
asep tebal + lelehan lahar kelihatan dari sini...

Jam 08:00 warga jogja panik, pasalnya ada isu tsunami.. jalanan penuh, orang
pada panik, kecelakaan disana - sini, orang dengan pakaian sekedarnya pada
panik lari semua ke arah utara, jalan - jalan utama sampe gang2 kecil penuh
sesak dengan motor, mobil, truk, dan kendaraan lainnya pada ngungsi...

Yang parah jogja bagian selatan (mulai selatan terminal lama --> terminal
umbulharjo) sampai bantul. (bantul paling parah). Tapi jogja bagian utara
rata2 baik2 saja...

numpang tanya, open suse 10 setelah restart desktopnya ko ga mau balik lagi
ke tampilan GUI ya? minta login dulu (command line) dan kemudian baru mau
nongol GUI nya kalo dah diketik perintah 'startx'
gimana caranya biar GUI bisa otomatis loading setelah restart desktop?

aku nyobain live DVD PCLOS Supergamer, tapi ada beberapa masalah neh...

   1. pas masuk desktop tiba2 hang (belum ada 1 menit). mouse dan kibor
   ga ngrespon
   2. kalo di restart pasti gagal booting, ada pesan "could not copy
   initrd to /opt/... (kurang lebih begitu)
    3. dicoba pake kompie laen sama aja...
   4. dari pengalaman, kalo kompie baru pertama kali dinyalain bisa idup
   agak lama, dan hang lagi. Tapi kalo kompie dah idup lama pasti hang...
   5. ada yang bilang itu karena hardware ga support, tapi kalo aku pake
   live cd PCLOS ga ada masalah sama sekali, masalahnya pas pake dvd.
   6. ada juga yang bilang itu karena DVD nya yang kurang bagus pas
   proses burningnya..
   7. ada yang tau minimum requirement buat PCLOS Supergamaer Live DVD?

mohon bantuan donk udah desperate nih, pengen nyobain game 3D di Linux

Bisa, dan sedang saya lakukan.. mereka bilang kalo ternyata DVD nya yang
rusak boleh minta ganti kok... cuma, ngurusinnya yang agak2 malas.. coz
jaraknya jauh (jogja - jakarta). makanya skr cari yang di jogja aja, biar
kalo ada apa2 gampang  nanyanya :)

ada yang punya distro PCLinuxOS SuperGamer-1 live DVD yang teruji dan
terbukti bisa jalan ga? kemaren aku beli dari GudangLinux dan ternyata eror
[50 ribu melayang hikz :( ]... ada yang bisa bantu?  kubayarin biaya copy
dan biaya kirim ke jogja deh... makacih

udah nyoba PCLinuxOS? kayanya OK juga buat newbie (termasuk cara
nginstallnya yang agak "asik" ;p ). Hanya sayang cuma 1 CD, jadi musti rajin
berburu paket kalo pengen lengkap :)

kalo di warnet kita (pake open suse) bisa kok pake headset. mungkin nanti
pas makenya tinggal diatur setting - an soundcardnya.
kalo web cam belum pernah dicoba (soalnya kita ga punya :p) tapi saya
pribadi pernah nyoba camera digital (canon lupa serinya) dengan koneksi USB
di open suse langsung dikenali dan berfungsi dengan baik. bahkan bisa live
capture pas terhubung  dengan  sistem.  kalo di open suse kemungkinan besar
web cam bisa jalan

ehm berhubung gue gamer, maka jawabannya di Linux (sebenarnya) ga butuh

emm pengalaman saya (dan temen2 saya) kalo fitur sinkronisasi tetep
dinyalakan, ada beberapa flash disk yang transfer ratenya lamabat bgt
(pernah coba pake flash saya merk pqi 128 Mb dipake ngopy data 18 Mb butuh
waktu +/- 20 menit). nah, ada saran dari temen fitur sinkronisasinya
dimatiin, dan ternyata transfer ratenya jadi meningkat drastis (18 Mb data
yang sama hanya +/- 1 menit). tapi cara matiin sinkronisasinya saya ga tau,
soalnya temen yang nambahin scriptnya and saya ga paham (maklum, newbie...
:( ).  Na, biar aman makanya pake safely remove itu

mas - mas / mbak - mbak  senior / yg punya lebih, tolong donk...
ane puyeng neh, ada user yang minta bisa ngetik (text input) bahasa korea..
udah dicoba setting di Yast, tapi cuma bahasanya doang yang ganti
korea, text input tetep latin.. malah puyeng balikinnya... :D

jadi kalo ada yang punya pengalaman sama dengan saya tolong donk, advisnya...
kalo bisa seh sekalian yang bisa support multi bahasa (arab, jepang, korea,cina)

korea... saya dah coba googling tapi nemunya IME buat Windows semua... kira2

suse ga mo automount usb flashdisk & floppy disk saya...
bisa sih, tapi harus masuk root dulu (tapi kalo terus menerus begitu ko
repot ya...)
