Normally I'd agree, but the real problem isn't so much the cost as the bureaucracy involved in licensing software here, even if it only does cost $20. I tried to talk the boss into making a donation to jQuery on the grounds that it's getting more and more use on our site, the development effort deserved acknowledgement and it couldn't hurt publicity wiae, but while he agreed he turned me down because the paperwork would have been rejected. I was having a few problems with the first shadowbox and was interested to see if there were additions that would get me around them, but it seems the license has changed and I don't think I can get my employer to fork out for a license as money is currently very tight. I'm not advocating Shadowbox because I have nothing to do with it's development, but I have been studying it and I think it's probably worth 20 buckaroos if your developing a commercial site (otherwise it's free!)
