Hi Bung Thomas, Layak dicoba. Pertama saya juga bingung, tapi malah saya melihat ini bisa masa depan collaboration. Bayanginnya seperti SVN aja. Saya create satu wave / stream conversation dengan melibatkan, katakanlah 5 orang dalam wave tersebut. Ntar ada chat yang real time (kita ketik akan kelihatan karakter by karakter), image, gadget. Jadi conversationnya nyambung terus dalam satu thread (wave). Wave lain akan melibatkan beberapa contact yang lain. IMHO Tapi harusnya ga lama lagi akan terbuka untuk semua kok, karena makin banyak developer yang develop extension/gadget maka Wave semakin berguna. kalau dari saya, JSF itu dibuat oleh Craig CMIIW, dia pembuat Struts1, gak tahu alasan kenapa Struts1 yang popular gak masuk JCP, tetapi buat baru dg konsep JSF jadi JSF ini kasus menarik, technology blum proven tapi full of theory yang di push ke JCP, harusnya JCP kan seperti badan process standard JSF di push oleh Sun dan Oracle, terus sekarang Redhat... tapi saya lihat JSF gak mainstream popular, malah Strtus1 masih tinggi, SpringMVC juga semua masih action framework, bukan component yang popular ada yang bantah?

Buku GoF memang tidak menjelaskan MVC. Yang dijelaskan adalah core pattern, dimana nantinya pattern-pattern yang dijelaskan di buku GoF bisa disebut dasar dari MVC pattern. Barusan saya liat-liat lagi, ga ada kok yang bicarain MVC. Malah barusan saya liat ke wikipedia. Di situ dibilang kalau MVC pattern pertama dipaparkan oleh Trygve Reenskaug.

pemanggilan seperti di atas. Hasilnya, sukses. Baik itu di konsole maupun file,
logging tergenerate.

tidak berhasil! Tidak ada pesan error, running file berjalan sukses, dan TIDAK
ADA pesan logging-nya. :(

Ketika tombol submit ditekan, halaman browser akan direfresh sehingga user tidak terjebak dengan melakukan double submit. Memang sih di banyak framework double submit ini tidak akan masalah, karena sudah dihandle. Tapi masih banyak user yang cukup parno dalam menyikapi double submit ini, siapa sih user ini? bank ;). kalau saya lihat rata-rata internet banking masih menggunakan action framework untuk masalah ini. CMIIW Issue ke dua dengan component framework adalah fleksibilitas yang rendah dalam membuat aplikasi web. Coba bayangkan kalau website seperti facebook menggunakan component framework? lah component yang dipake facebook semuanya custom loh, jadi whats the point of using component framework. Pake saja widget2 canggih dan gunakan action framework untuk menyediakan url yang nantinya akan dipanggil lewat ajax call. Jadi kalau mau fleksibilitas dan konservatif user interface masih relevan menggunakan action framework. Trus2 lucunya lagi, framework2 RIA semacam GWT, ExtJS dan Flex malah repot kalau digunakan bareng2 dengan component framework. Jadi RIA malah membangkitkan lagi popularitas action framework, terutama SpringMVC karena fleksibilitasnya dalam memapping URL lewat annotation @RequestMapping. Semua UI disediakan oleh RIA ini, kemudian action framework menyediakan URL yang nanti dipanggil RIA framework lewat ajax call trus return JSON.
