Re: [JPP-Devel] Bug on ECW

2007-10-29 Thread Rahkonen Jukka
Hi,

I made a new test with nightly build openjump-20071029-0019 and an image with
dimensions of 30148 by 47722 pixels (771 megabytes as compressed). Everything
works perfectly.
Directory list of ER Mapper dll's I have now:
21.10.2004 14:1453 283 NCScnet.dll
21.10.2004 14:14 1 024 034 NCSEcw.dll
21.10.2004 14:1498 339 NCSUtil.dll

They come from here:
ECW JPEG2000 SDK
Version 3.1
Date : 21-10-2004

2007-10-29 Thread Rahkonen Jukka
Hi,

I've got no idea where is the origin of this jar file. It is always
delivered with OJ in /lib folder and it seems to be 18 kilos in size.
To make OJ work with ecw files I just copy ER Mapper dll's which I have
taken from the SDK into the /lib/ext folder.

I think that we should take the ECW and MrSID plug-ins out of the core
OJ code base and make them into plug-ins, we can still bundle them with
an OJ release but can manage them separately.

I'm just no getting to this e-mail. Please accept my apology for the very
late response.

I'm afraid I don't have an answer to your question. I don't know that we
have made an official decision on a license for the logo. I am going to
forward this to our discussion list and will try to respond to you with an
answer.

 Hi,
I have written an article about OpenJump on Czech Wikipedia
(http://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Openjump) and I would like to add OpenJUMP
logo to it. I found the logo on top of JPP OpenJUMP page
 (http://jump-pilot.sourceforge.net/OpenJUMP.html), but there is no
license or terms of using the logo. As the software is GPL opensource
and the logo is part of it (it shows on the greeter during start-up) i
suppose the image is also free and I'm going to add it do wikimedia and
then link it to the article. What I'm not sure about is, if I can add it
to wikimedia with other license than GPL, because technically, this is
license under which I have got the image and I should republish it under
the same license. This license is however suitable rather for publishing
software than artwork, so I would prefer to publish it either under dual
license (GPL + Creative Commons) or just under Creative Commons license.
Would it be OK? Or perhaps the author of the logo could do it himself...

BTW, I was not able to find the logo anywhere on the
http://openjump.org, so it took me some time to find it on the web at
all. I think it should be added at least as a link somewhere on
openjump.org or as standalone download on downloads page, preferably
 with some terms of use.

 Tomas B.

Hei Eric,

i will have a look on that SIGLE plugin too.. should be somewhere on my
desktop. Actually the problem with JFreeChart is that one needs a doc.

@Sunburned: I did not use a JDialog yet - only a frame. But I am going
to try the dialog next.*)
I also recognized, that the screen-errors appear if I put OpenJUMP in
background, i.e. Eclipse on top, and then again on top. The histo-plot
is fine, but not OJ.

stefan

*) I tried.. and it does not work as well whith a Dialog. Seems like
there is no other way then looking in the sourcecode of jmathplot.
