I also agree with Uwe's suggestions.
I'm quite busy these time. So if you want to move menu items as proposed
by Uwe, go ahead, otherwise, I'll try to do it before next release, but
I can't give a timeline.

I prefer not to announce a timeline for next release.
I'd like
- to have a look to last bug reports
- to include some more icons from Giuseppe
- to make some tests with OpenJUMP + Sextante as I think there may be
some fixes to do before a new release.
Also, I would have liked to synchronize next release with JTS 1.12
release, but this is not a decisive condition.

What do you mean about those two layer bugs fixed ?

[JPP-Devel] IndexOutOfBoundsException in MultiClickTool

2011-06-10 Thread Matthias Scholz
Hi,

can anybody else reproduce the following:
-make a layer editable
-activate the create line tool in the edit toolbox for example
-click in a menu
-and if the menu is open, move the mouse in the project window and try
to click with the tool
-an IndexOutOfBoundsException occurs

But if you close the menu with the button, the exception does not
occur and you can work with the tool.

This is with all MultiClickTool based tools, such as the measure tool.

Regards

Matthias

[JPP-Devel] StackOverflowError during change skin

2011-06-10 Thread Matthias Scholz
Hi,

on my Ubuntu 10.4 box i get a StackOverflowError if i change to an other
skin :-( After some time the GUI will be skinned with the "metal" skin
for example, but the options dialog is'nt closing nor the skin is saved.

Can anybody confirm this? Especially on other Linux distributions,
because i suspect this is an Ubuntu (Unity) skinning problem.

If you mean the checkbox between the layer color an the layer name, then
it works for me on Ubuntu 11.04.

[JPP-Devel] Layer Visibility Check Box No Longer Works

2011-06-10 Thread Sunburned Surveyor
On my Ubuntu and Windows 7 operating systems the "Toggle Visibility"
check box in the layer name panel no longer works. I have to use the
menu entry in the layer pop-menu to turn off a layer.

Can anyone else confirm this bug? If I'm not crazy, I'll add a bug
report and see if I can figure out the cause before Michael prepares
the next release.

Michael,

I think Uwe's suggestions are a good idea. Let me know if you get too
busy. I can try to squeeze the menu adjustment into my weekend.

Did you have a tentative timeline for the next release? I'd like to
get those two (2) layer bugs fixed first, but I'm not sure how much
time I would have left to get this done.
