And probably an updated Chinese file, too.

It would be interesting to compare similar figures from other GIS

Russian, for instance (is Sergio B. Calvo from SAIG reading this post

Hi all.

Yes, I'm always following JUMP lists ^^.

It would be interesting to compare similar figures from other GIS
softwares, like GvSIG and Kosmo. I know that Kosmo is translated into
Russian, for instance (is Sergio B. Calvo from SAIG reading this post

Unfortunatelly, our CMS doesn't give me stadistics by country about
Kosmo Desktop downloads, so I can't apport that information to compare
with OpenJUMP stadistics :(.

[JPP-Devel] OJ download stat by country I18N

2011-11-01 Thread Michaël Michaud

Hi,

Here are some stat from OpenJUMP download page (bold = existing I18N
language file for OJ).
We can see that figures are closely related to the internationalization
effort.
For example, I noticed very small figures for Russia, and Arabic
countries (no I18N files available).
Considering the figures hereafter, indonesia and poland language files
would also be a useful addition.

Note that most of I18N files are uptodate (+/- 100 keys because of
recent addition) except

chinese (about 200 translation missing),
japanese (about 300)
indian language (more than 1000).

With more than 300 downloads the last 2 months, top 6 countries are
- *Germany*
- *France*
- *Brazil*
- *Italy*
- *United States*
- India (en available, ml patially available, te to be done)

Just after, with 100 to 300 downloads a month :
- *Spain*
- *China*
- *Canada*
- *Belgium*
- *United Kingdom*

Following countries for the last two months are
- Indonesia
- Poland
- *Czech Republic*
- *Japan*
- Turkey
- *Portugal*
- *Australia*
- *Hungary*
- Costa Rica
- Thailand
- Austria
- *Switzerland*
- Netherland

Hi Michael,
this statistics is quite interesting. This means that our efforts to translate
OJ and its plugins had an effect.
