Hi, David!

I cannot reproduce this bug. Neither on 2.9 nor on animation branches :( Could
you make a video of this bug or just find some more info about it? Probably,
cleaning-up/backup the shortcuts configuration folder might help?

2016-01-02 Thread vicnet via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357414

Bug ID: 357414
Summary: Bad display amount in split editor
   Product: skrooge
   Version: 2.1.1
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: guillaume.deb...@gmail.com
  Reporter: vo.publi...@gmail.com

The amounts in split editor do not respect amount display preferences: unit,
digit number after dot.
In main view, amount is for example "1 234,50 €".
In split editor, same amount will be displayed: "1234.5".
=> no spaces, no unit, dot instead comma, 1 digit instead 2 after dot

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a split operation
2. enter value

Happy new year and thank you for your software and more for your time to
maintain it !

[plasma4] [Bug 302282] panel overlaps full screen window if panel on edge between two screens

2016-01-02 Thread Oliver Kurz via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302282

I don't understand why this bug is closed as duplicate, also the parent bug
94470 is closed as WONTFIX. How is plasma expected to handle multiple screens
with panels on each screen? I don't think this is such an unusual setup. From
the user point of view this is clearly a bug and I am sure the developer(s)
that allowed panels to be created on each screen did not have it in mind to
maximize windows behind panels.
Regardless of any "NETWM spec" in IMHO maximizing behind panels does not make
any sense. Maximizing in front of panels would be better, not covering the
panel would be best, i.e. probably expected by most users.

Please reopen the bug (as I seem to not be able to do it) as it is not the same
issue.

The package description is

"This package contains the files required to run the KDE4 systemsettings, and
aditional addons useful outside 4.x Plasma. They were split out for
co-instability with Plasma5 and to maintain the ability to maintain settings
for kdelibs4 based applications."

which suggests it could/should be co-installed with Plasma5.

To avoid duplicate systemsettings, I uninstalled it. I hope the "additional
addons useful for ouside 4.x Plasma" are not needed anymore. :)

[frameworks-ki18n] [Bug 357418] New: It is messing with the shortcuts

2016-01-02 Thread LtWorf
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357418

Bug ID: 357418
Summary: It is messing with the shortcuts

  Platform: Debian unstable

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: caslav.i...@gmx.net
  Reporter: tipos...@tiscali.it
CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org

KDE randomly adds shortcuts, disregarding the ones that are already present in
the UI, creating conflicts that end up making shortcuts useless.

For example, see the attached .ui file.

I am writing an application where the user might need to input some odd
symbols, and some buttons are available to insert the symbol within the text.
Said buttons have shortcuts in the form of Alt+Key, but KDE adds random Alt+Key
shortcuts all over the place, removing the advantage of having shortcuts in the
first place.

A workaround is to use
[Development]
AutoCheckAccelerators=false

The bug has been encountered several times by several people:
https://www.google.it/search?q=AutoCheckAccelerators

but was never seriously considered, besides providing the workaround.

I believe that adding accelerators is a good idea, but adding duplicated ones
is a very shitty idea.

Bug ID: 357422
Summary: Alt+F1 for K menu does not work and cannot be set
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff)
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: codestr...@posteo.org

Normally, Alt+F1 would open the application launcher (kickoff). But it does
not.

When I used the widget settings to manually define the keyboard shortcut, there
is nothing preset.

When I try to assign...
- Alt+F1, it will not be accepted and there is no message why.
- Alt+F2, krunner is shown
- Alt+F6, it works

It would be nice to copy the filepath to which the screenshot was just saved to
clipboard. This way it can be immediately used in other applications (like the
file chooser of the web browser).

A message panel could inform the user (similarly as it is done when the "Copy
To Clipboard" button is used).

Kdenlive 15.x requires qt5; but for now i have installed kde (plasma) 4.X.
Tryng to compile the 15.X, requires to me too many dependencies of plasma 5.
I will try the 15.x when "Funtoo Stable" will use plasma 5.
For now i can use the kdenlive-0.9.8

The bug also happens when you plug out the keyboard and back in, or use a
display where the keyboard is connected and switch of and on the display.

Layout switching works again if you change any setting in the layout settings
and klick ok or apply.

My primary system language is English. But for the Date/Time format I wish to
have the German settings.

Strangely in the date time format kcm there is only "Germany (nds_DE)"
available in the list box (see screenshot). And when I choose it, my system
language changes to Dutch for most Plasma programs (also see screenshot).

2016-01-02 Thread Carioca via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345793

The layout can still be changed with the kontext menu of the keyboard layout
switcher. After some switches, it is again possible to switch it with a click
on the layout switcher. What is still not possible is to switch with a key on
the keyboard. For this to work again, you have to change a setting in the
keyboard layout settings.

Of course it is annoying to switch the keyboard layout with the mouse.

I used the "Preferred Languages" settings (see screenshot 2) to make English

others are English. I would have expected that all programs are English because

I've KDE 4.14.3 on Funtoo Linux 64 bits.
Sometimes kdm "crashes" switching user: for example:

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.1) User 1 make the login
2) Using "switch useer", the 2nd user make a login.
3) the 2nd user close him session.
4) The kdm doesn't compare and i must manually shutdown and restart kdm from a
tty (/etc/init.d/kdm restart).
2.
3.

My system has a nvidia GTX660.
The trouble is not related to "proprietary drivers" i think, since it the same
situation also using "nouveau" drivers.

[frameworks-kdoctools] [Bug 357428] New: kf5-kdoctools: several issues with kdoctools_install()

2016-01-02 Thread MaxiPunkt via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357428

Bug ID: 357428
Summary: kf5-kdoctools: several issues with kdoctools_install()
   Product: frameworks-kdoctools
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kde-doc-engl...@kde.org
  Reporter: maxantis...@freenet.de
CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org

I'm trying to use the cmake-magic to include translations (po's & doc's) in a
project.

For translations I'm using a self-made script which downloads l10n-data from
SVN-server:
* po-files are stored in a directory named: l10n-messages//*.po
* doc-files are stored in a directory named: l10n-docs//docs/*.docbook

The application-code was downloaded from GIT-server before.
To combine it with translations, I've copied the translation-dirs
(l10n-messages & l10n-docs) into the application-code. Then I tried to append
original CMakeLists.txt with the following lines:

find_package(KF5I18n CONFIG REQUIRED)
ki18n_install(l10n-messages)
find_package(KF5DocTools REQUIRED)
kdoctools_install(l10n-docs)

1. issue:
Found out that doc's strictly have to be placed into the same directory as the
po-files, otherwise cmake breaks while processing kdoctools_install() .

But shouldn't the functions kdoctools_install(DIR) and ki18n_install(DIR) work
independently from each other? It seems that it is not possible to have po's in
 and doc's in

2. issue:
Because of 1st issue I changed my script to download l10n-data from SVN-server
like this:
* po-files are stored in a directory named: translations//*.po
* doc-files are stored in a directory named: translations//docs/*.docbook

But cmake still breaks while processing kdoctools_install(), now with the
following error:

CMake Error at /usr/lib64/cmake/KF5DocTools/KF5DocToolsMacros.cmake:106
(message):
SUBDIR needs to be defined when calling kdoctools_create_handbook
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  /usr/lib64/cmake/KF5DocTools/KF5DocToolsMacros.cmake:231
(kdoctools_create_handbook)
  CMakeLists.txt:116 (kdoctools_install)

How to define the missing "SUBDIR"?
Shouldn't this be done by kdoctools_install() automatically?

Used kf5-kdoctools version: 5.17.0

Reproducible: Always

I wonder why is this issue associated with Ki18n? The only function dealing
with accelerator markers is removeAcceleratorMarker, they are nowhere added.
Maybe some other framework using this function, like KXmlGui?

[okular] [Bug 357430] New: Okular crashed when activating “fit width”

2016-01-02 Thread Martin Ueding via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357430

Bug ID: 357430
Summary: Okular crashed when activating “fit width”
   Product: okular
   Version: 0.22.2
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: von.kde@martin-ueding.de

Application: okular (0.22.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.14.14
Qt Version: 4.8.7
Operating System: Linux 4.2.8-300.fc23.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Fedora RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I edit a LaTeX document that is compiled automatically in the background with
`latexmk -pdf -pvc` which uses inotify and runs `pdflatex`. So the document has
been reloaded a lot of times.

To see some part of an equation more clearly I zoomed in on it by holding the
mouse wheel and moving the mouse. Then I took a raster image using the right
mouse button. Holding that button I selected some area and stored that as PNG
image. A while later I wanted to continue editing and right-clicked into the
document. In the context menu I selected “fit width”. Okular instantly crashed
as I selected that menu item.

Unfortunately I do not remember exactly whether it was compiling in the
background. Then perhaps this action is overlaid with the reloading and then
some race condition occured.

So I would assume that the resizing crashed it. I have tried to zoom in into
other documents and selecting “fit width” again without a problem. This problem
has not occured before at all.

My system is Fedora 23 with RPM Fusion. I use plain Awesome WM without any
desktop environment.

The crash does not seem to be reproducible.

The only workaround solution I found is to:
- save the file ~/.local/share/akregator/data/feeds.opml BEFORE running again
akregator after a crash
- run akregator and follow the broken recovery that instead of recoverying
deletes the feed list
- close akregator
- reput in place the feeds.opml file
- run akregator again

[kleopatra] [Bug 357432] New: Decrypt and verify hangs

2016-01-02 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357432

Bug ID: 357432
   Summary: Decrypt and verify hangs
   Product: kleopatra
   Version: 2.2.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: aheine...@intevation.de
  Reporter: asinge...@yahoo.com
CC: kdepim-b...@kde.org, m...@kde.org

Trying to Decrypt and verify an ISO signature file, Kleopatra hangs. The
Decrypt/Verify window comes up, saying, "Operation 1: Verifying signature: "
and the name of the signature file, but it just keeps working indefinitely with
no result. This happens repeatedly - tried re-downloading the ISO and signature
files etc. always with the same result.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
I would expect it to come back with a result - either that the file is correct,
or with a warning that there was not enough data to verify, or with a failure
message.

I'm running Windows 10.
