[amarok] [Bug 354863] Amarok's volume is not linked with the system volume
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354863 --- Comment #4 from Myriam Schweingruber --- The volume suddenly going up to 100% is definitely not an Amarok issue, and since Amarok doesn't sound output on itself, you really should report this to Phonon. That is also the reason why I asked to know more details from the OR, which he never gave. Hence this bug stays closed, as I would have only moved it to the respective phonon backend with the given information. FWIW: the sudden 100% volume surge is a well known bug, reported here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324975 Also, changing the system volume (with what application, btw?) not affecting Amarok might be a conflict between Qt5 based Plasma5 desktop you run and Amarok being still Qt4 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 356225] Panel moves to wrong screen when external monitor is connected
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356225 --- Comment #80 from achat1...@free.fr --- sorry just a typo in the previous message but right in the script "org.kde.panel"... Just upgraded to plasma 5.6.3 and framework 5.21 and bug still there... Just for info I obtain the same bug (panels get messed up) from a working configuration (all panels in the right position) whether: -I connet my external monitor (HDMI) -with my two monitors plugged in (external screen on primary with all panels on it) I disconnect the external screen -with my two monitors plugged in (external screen on primary with all panels) I change which one is primary in kscreen or in ARandR - I get exactly same result using the two -with my two monitors plugged in I deactivate either monitor with either kscreen or ARandR The only case I get a good desktop is if both monitors are plugged in with laptop on primary with all panels on it and then I disconnect the external - it flickers but all reappear in the right place on the laptop monitor. If then however I connect the external screen again, it all gets messed up. Also if you use it please add a little "&" at the end of my bash script to detached it (I was using it with udev myself with another script to detached it - and yes I know it's bad practice to use udev rules that way but I wanted to play ;)) Gauthier -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354863 sedrubal changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@sedrubal.de --- Comment #3 from sedrubal --- I can confirm this. Can you reopen it? It's because sometimes the volume buttons change another channel than amarok plays to (for me Amarok plays on "Built-in Audio Analog Stereo" <- standard/fallback, changing the volume with volume buttons sometimes changes "Simultaneous output to Built-in Audio Analog Stereo"). This sound to be a fail in the linux audio system? (Don't know much about it). The bug made by amarok is, that sometimes amarok is completely muted or sometimes it is normal and suddenly when track changes the volume is 100%. This also happens often after starting amarok (it starts with 100% even if it was normal before). Phonon Backend: VLC 0.8.2 (but I think it also happened with GStreamer 4.8.2) Changes: Mh... [kwin] [Bug 362120] Keyboard Responsiveness Can Be Poor, Especially With Alt-Tab
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362120 --- Comment #10 from vindica...@live.com --- gawd I wish I could find some consistency to this issue. I rebooted, logged in, ran atop, opened settings, opened chrome, tried to drag chrome and the GUI froze up (except for mouse movement). Prior to the reboot, I couldn't view videos in fullscreen (youtube, kodi). After the gui hangup, I switched to tty and re-enabled my /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/intel.conf which contains 'Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"' which was a workaround for another bug I encountered/reported before. journalctl had been dumping "QPainter::...: Painter not active" So after re-enabling that conf file, I rebooted again, ran atop, opened settings, opened chrome, verified I was using flipswitch visualization, pressed Alt-Tab, and it worked. I tried coverswitch, and it also worked. I changed to Breeze and that too worked... ...AHHH, I just right now (while typing this comment) switched to Grid and that DID FAIL to catch the first alt-tab. Also just tried thumbnails and that failed to catch. I'm going to try another theory by changing to Grid, reboot, try it, switch to flip/cover and try that. If that fails, I will report/comment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 362312] Tearing with nvidia driver
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362312 Thomas Lübking changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #17 from Thomas Lübking --- Nouveau won't support HW GL for your GPU (requires bleeding edge linux + mesa) - if KWin enables the compositor at all (w/o being forced to) it will resort to xrender to not composite on your CPU. For nvidia, vsync gets enabled because it's only double buffering what caused bug #322060 (this is probably no longer the case as long as the driver magically doesn't block on double buffering) Either enable triple buffering for the nvidia driver¹ or prevent the driver from waiting busily² Actually™ because of the "usually" non-blocking double buffering, this should happen automatically, but for some odd reason the detection tends to fail on logins (bug #343184) If and as long as the nvidia driver doesn't block in the double buffering case, it's ok to "cheat" on this and make kwin believe this is triple buffering while it's not (but the relevant behavior matches)³ Notice that this is some unexplained behavior in the driver which may change at any time. [krita] [Bug 360552] krita3-prealpha3-de0d43d-x86_64.appimage will not start because of DRI3 XCB library dependency
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360552 --- Comment #17 from LeStr4wberry --- The updated version launched correctly! However, I experience a weird issue when trying to run Krita appimages (alpha/beta) with updated drivers (from the Oibaf and Padoka PPAs). The issue in question: http://imgur.com/dsyfUvH http://imgur.com/oej8Iy7 Basically, both on the canvas and within the program's interface (but NOT within the overview window) the hue values seem to have been swapped. This issue started happening only a couple of days ago, possibly when the PPAs started shipping mesa 11.3.0-devel. The stable version (2.9.11) is not affected. Not sure if I should report this as a new bug (it doesn't seem to be reported yet) or is this a "running bleeding edge anything is bound to be risky" thing. :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I > have to pull the plug to end the process as System Monitor does nothing. I > even tried re-installing Kubuntu, but the same thing happens. No, what you see is bug#345234, which should be fixed, and I cannot reproduce this any more. But somebody else has filed the same problem again, see bug#361960. Again, this bug report is about the backend crashing when installing more than one font. [kio] [Bug 362321] New: Add the ability to queue file transfers (sequential transfers)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362321 Bug ID: 362321 Summary: Add the ability to queue file transfers (sequential transfers) Product: kio Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: file Assignee: fa...@kde.org Reporter: abderrahman.naj...@gmail.com It would be great if there were a feature that enables queuing file transfers. A scenario: I want to copy/move directories or files placed in different locations on the same source (e.g. /mnt/audio/dir1 /mnt/images/dir2, I want to copy both dir1 and dir2). Or if I remember or add additional files after starting. The way it works now is that all transfers work in parallel. This makes IO suffer if the number of transfers is enough to saturate the port. Basically, the option of treating multiple transfers the same way individual files in the same transfer are treated.
