Happens to me too often with version 15.12.2. I'm on Fedora 23 and waiting for
rpmfusion to update to 16.04.

One way to make it freeze for me is: Add clip -> select clip -> press delete

Bug ID: 362331
Summary: Filelight takes hours to index laptop
   Product: filelight
   Version: 1.20
  Platform: MacPorts Packages
OS: OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: martin.sandsm...@kde.org
  Reporter: ma...@kermodei.com

Mac laptop with 257.46 GB used take lots of hours (maybe 8-10 hours) to index

Disk Inventory X takes a few minutes.

Filelight display is much more useful, however the slowness makes it not
usable.

Reproducible: Always

[amarok] [Bug 354863] Amarok's volume is not linked with the system volume

2016-04-26 Thread Myriam Schweingruber via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354863

The volume suddenly going up to 100% is definitely not an Amarok issue, and
since Amarok doesn't sound output on itself, you really should report this to
Phonon. That is also the reason why I asked to know more details from the OR,
which he never gave. Hence this bug stays closed, as I would have only moved it
to the respective phonon backend with the given information.

FWIW: the sudden 100% volume surge is a well known bug, reported here:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324975

Also, changing the system volume (with what application, btw?) not affecting
Amarok might be a conflict between Qt5 based Plasma5 desktop you run and Amarok
being still Qt4

Just upgraded to plasma 5.6.3 and framework 5.21 and now it is the global
shortcut to show the activity panel (shortcut titled "Activities...") that
doesn't work. (it was set to Ctrl + Tab but tried something else and was still
not working).

My config is:
Manjaro

[plasmashell] [Bug 356225] Panel moves to wrong screen when external monitor is connected

2016-04-26 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356225

sorry just a typo in the previous message but right in the script
"org.kde.panel"...

Just upgraded to plasma 5.6.3 and framework 5.21 and bug still there...

Just for info I obtain the same bug (panels get messed up) from a working
configuration (all panels in the right position) whether:
-I connet my external monitor (HDMI)
-with my two monitors plugged in (external screen on primary with all panels on
it) I disconnect the external screen
-with my two monitors plugged in (external screen on primary with all panels) I
change which one is primary in kscreen or in ARandR - I get exactly same result
using the two
-with my two monitors plugged in I deactivate either monitor with either
kscreen or ARandR

The only case I get a good desktop is if both monitors are plugged in with
laptop on primary with all panels on it and then I disconnect the external - it
flickers but all reappear in the right place on the laptop monitor. If then
however I connect the external screen again, it all gets messed up.

Also if you use it please add a little "&" at the end of my bash script to
detached it (I was using it with udev myself with another script to detached it
- and yes I know it's bad practice to use udev rules that way but I wanted to
play ;))

[amarok] [Bug 354863] Amarok's volume is not linked with the system volume

I can confirm this. Can you reopen it?

It's because sometimes the volume buttons change another channel than amarok
plays to (for me Amarok plays on "Built-in Audio Analog Stereo" <-
standard/fallback, changing the volume with volume buttons sometimes changes
"Simultaneous output to Built-in Audio Analog Stereo"). This sound to be a fail
in the linux audio system? (Don't know much about it).

The bug made by amarok is, that sometimes amarok is completely muted or
sometimes it is normal and suddenly when track changes the volume is 100%. This
also happens often after starting amarok (it starts with 100% even if it was
normal before).

Phonon Backend: VLC 0.8.2 (but I think it also happened with GStreamer 4.8.2)
Changes: Mh... I don't think there are important changes causing this problem.
I switched the phonon backend, changed volumes using pavucontrol, ...

[Akonadi] [Bug 361737] duplicates values in SeenUidList and SeenUidTimeList until it crawls to an halt on saving messages

2016-04-26 Thread Albert Astals Cid via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361737

--- Comment #4 from Albert Astals Cid ---
A duplicate seenUidTimeList is not a problem is it?

My rework to the pop3resource made it a bit slower when leaving messages on
server, but i was not expecting "for minutes"

I mean you have only around 55 items in seenUidTimeList it should not be that
horribly slow.

Can you check if reverting
https://github.com/KDE/kdepim-runtime/commit/e7ba619bef10fed4c1e623c61822da505b270d2a
makes it faster again?

turned on. I'll do some more tests tomorrow. :) )

Ok, with Grid having been selected, I rebooted.
I opened the usual windows and alt-tab was NOT caught with the first try. 2nd
was fine.
I switched to flip. Alt-tab was caught correctly.
I switched to cover. Alt-tab was also caught correctly.
I switched to breeze. Alt-tab was NOT caught with the first try.

Now I'll switch back to flip, reboot and my expectation will be that it works
fine.
I won't report back unless something goes wrong with it (or you need something
else from me).

I've looked to #360137 and seems a but similar, except that I only have trouble
on the rotated monitor. QtQuick seems a possible culprit but why also Ive got
this on the desktop settings window ? Is it QML too ?

[krita] [Bug 362327] New: cursor offset after tablet portrait/landscape orientation change

2016-04-26 Thread Ivan Dobrokotov via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362327

Bug ID: 362327
Summary: cursor offset after tablet portrait/landscape
orientation change
   Product: krita
   Version: 2.9.11
  Platform: Other
OS: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: tablet support
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: dobro...@gmail.com

After device rotation from landscape mode to portrait mode Krita brush position
do not match stylus position.

This problem have workaround - application restart. But it requires lot of
time and UI interaction (save document, then close the Krita application, then
wait for non-instant restart, then reopen document).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open Krita
create new document,
start drawing
rotate cintiq tablet and wait for application window orientation change

Actual Results:
Huge offset from Krita brush position to actual stylus position. Movement
orientation do not match too.

Expected Results:
matching position of stylus and brush position

device: Cintiq Companion 2

[kwin] [Bug 362120] Keyboard Responsiveness Can Be Poor, Especially With Alt-Tab

2016-04-26 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362120

gawd I wish I could find some consistency to this issue.

I rebooted, logged in, ran atop, opened settings, opened chrome, tried to drag
chrome and the GUI froze up (except for mouse movement).

Prior to the reboot, I couldn't view videos in fullscreen (youtube, kodi).

After the gui hangup, I switched to tty and re-enabled my
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/intel.conf which contains 'Option "AccelMethod"
"uxa"' which was a workaround for another bug I encountered/reported before.
journalctl had been dumping "QPainter::...: Painter not active"

So after re-enabling that conf file, I rebooted again, ran atop, opened
settings, opened chrome, verified I was using flipswitch visualization, pressed
Alt-Tab, and it worked.
I tried coverswitch, and it also worked.
I changed to Breeze and that too worked...
...AHHH, I just right now (while typing this comment) switched to Grid and that
DID FAIL to catch the first alt-tab. Also just tried thumbnails and that failed
to catch.

I'm going to try another theory by changing to Grid, reboot, try it, switch to
flip/cover and try that. If that fails, I will report/comment.

LeStr4wberry, could you make a new bug, and add to that the answer to the
following questions?

1. Do you have ocio turned on maybe?
1b. If so, does turning it off affect anything?
2. What happens if you turn openGL off?
3. Graphics card and all the boring specs

That could really help with narrowing down the issue.

2016-04-26 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356225

Sorry that doesn't work on your config. Although looking at the structure of
your file there is no reason why it wouldn't. In my case I have both files
(ruby and bash scripts) with user permissions in /usr/local/bin and then just
run the bash script from anywhere.
Is your plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc file in ~/.config/ ?

The ruby script detects if there is the expression "kde.org.panel" in the file
and test if two line above it there is a "lastScreen=1" and if so change it to
"lastScreen=0"...which is the case in your file.
The bash script backs up the config file, calls the ruby script and restart
plasma.

I'm running:
manjaro
Plasma 5.6.2
Qt 5.6.0
Framework 5.20

[kwin] [Bug 362312] Tearing with nvidia driver

Nouveau won't support HW GL for your GPU (requires bleeding edge linux + mesa)
- if KWin enables the compositor at all (w/o being forced to) it will resort to
xrender to not composite on your CPU.

For nvidia, vsync gets enabled because it's only double buffering what caused
bug #322060 (this is probably no longer the case as long as the driver
magically doesn't block on double buffering)

Either enable triple buffering for the nvidia driver¹ or prevent the driver
from waiting busily²

Actually™ because of the "usually" non-blocking double buffering, this should
happen automatically, but for some odd reason the detection tends to fail on
logins (bug #343184)

If and as long as the nvidia driver doesn't block in the double buffering case,
it's ok to "cheat" on this and make kwin believe this is triple buffering while
it's not (but the relevant behavior matches)³
Notice that this is some unexplained behavior in the driver which may change at
any time.

2016-04-26 Thread Koen via KDE Bugzilla

I also think a whitelist should preceed a blacklist.
The current blacklist aswell as the new whitelist functionality should be
editable in the kde 'file search' control module as well.

Basic functionality IMO.

I think edu.kde.org makes some sense as a landing page, but as we all see it's
duplicating contents that www.kde.org has, since kde.org is the main site, i'd
suggest we redirect the pages like
https://edu.kde.org/applications/mathematics/cantor/ to
https://www.kde.org/applications/education/cantor (and bring the nice content
with it).

title of the current page in the center

Currently the titles of the pages are aligned to the left in the breadcrumb.
When go deeper in the hierarchy opening new pages, the title of the current one
is more at the right because of the previous pages' titles. It looks a little
strange.
It would be better to align the current page title to the center of the
breadcrumb, with previous/next pages at its left/right side.
See examples in the attached image for clarification.

I don't undestand what is generally the problem, but some icons are ugly
scalable when they are minimized. Simple icons like Kate, Dolphin mostly
constructed by triangles looks pretty good, others more complex like Kalarm,
Dragon, Filelight looks pretty ugly.
screenshot -> http://oi65.tinypic.com/i2kr38.jpg
I don't know this is icon or programming issue ?!
If i opened, for example Dragonplayer.svg, in Karbon all looks great, but if i
use Kolorpaint it looks exactly ugly as taskamanager.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Some icons are ugly in taskmanager

[krita] [Bug 360552] krita3-prealpha3-de0d43d-x86_64.appimage will not start because of DRI3 XCB library dependency

2016-04-26 Thread LeStr4wberry via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360552

The updated version launched correctly!

However, I experience a weird issue when trying to run Krita appimages
(alpha/beta) with updated drivers (from the Oibaf and Padoka PPAs).

The issue in question:

http://imgur.com/dsyfUvH
http://imgur.com/oej8Iy7

Basically, both on the canvas and within the program's interface (but NOT
within the overview window) the hue values seem to have been swapped.

This issue started happening only a couple of days ago, possibly when the PPAs
started shipping mesa 11.3.0-devel. The stable version (2.9.11) is not
affected.

Not sure if I should report this as a new bug (it doesn't seem to be reported
yet) or is this a "running bleeding edge anything is bound to be risky" thing.
:)

No, what you see is bug#345234, which should be fixed, and I cannot reproduce
this any more.
But somebody else has filed the same problem again, see bug#361960.

Again, this bug report is about the backend crashing when installing more than
one font.
The two might be related though, or not.

If you do not have the build requirements installed, there is no chance for

I assume a repository is missing, maybe you should ask at a place where people

[kio] [Bug 362321] New: Add the ability to queue file transfers (sequential transfers)

2016-04-26 Thread Abderrahman Najjar via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362321

Bug ID: 362321
Summary: Add the ability to queue file transfers (sequential
transfers)
   Product: kio
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: file
  Assignee: fa...@kde.org
  Reporter: abderrahman.naj...@gmail.com

It would be great if there were a feature that enables queuing file transfers.

A scenario: I want to copy/move directories or files placed in different
locations on the same source (e.g. /mnt/audio/dir1 /mnt/images/dir2, I want to
copy both dir1 and dir2). Or if I remember or add additional files after
starting.

The way it works now is that all transfers work in parallel. This makes IO
suffer if the number of transfers is enough to saturate the port.

Basically, the option of treating multiple transfers the same way individual
files in the same transfer are treated.

Reproducible: Always

You still have Vivid repositories mixed with Xenial in your
/etc/apt/sources.list. Please fix that, maybe your upgrade didn't complete
successfully.
You can get help from kubuntu about that. https://kubuntu.org/community

Otherwise the output looks fine. What does the following do?
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

As discussed previously on the community list, the source of data would
probably be the AppStream files, and the two sites can just be generated from
them.

It is quite unfortunate that the data is different.

[kate] [Bug 362319] New: Opening multiple files through FTP

2016-04-26 Thread Victor Porton via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362319

Bug ID: 362319
Summary: Opening multiple files through FTP
   Product: kate
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: por...@narod.ru

When opening multiple files from an FTP server, it happens too slowly. I
suspect this can be speed up.

Not sure that it can be made faster, but sure that the GUI should show a kind
of a progress-meter when opening multiple files.

Reproducible: Always

Does it also crash if not using the NVIDIA proprietary drivers? If yes, it
would be nice to have a valgrind backtrace. For more information, please see

Now it only makes a dot on the first stroke... I thought I had the latest
version. Sometimes the strokes are kind of glitchy when they overlap. But this
is much better.
