[KBibTeX] [Bug 337982] Automatic PDF renaming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337982 fylimaschanged: What|Removed |Added CC||fyli...@qq.com --- Comment #8 from fylimas --- Thanks for your great work Fischer, and the discussion between adr.fantini and Fischer. - I have used kbibtex for 2 years, then switch to mendeley for 2 years, mainly for the benifits for renaming (still buggy) and annotations. Now I want to switch back due to that nearly no hope for a better support for group with annotations, as that is a major business for mendeley. The users do not have direct control on the files. In specific, I need the separated annotations saved in text file, such that docfetcher or baloo can index. - Come back on the renaming. I do not think reaming the file name with bibkey or author/year is the best idea. This solution does not serve well on give much information as bibtex. After all, we indeed need bibtex to help us free off the burden on remember all the metadata of a file. Furthermore, the bibkey or author/year is not constant, and it does not have direct relationship with the pdf itself. This would be a disaster when using okular. Thus, I think renaming the files with just its md5/sha1 is a good option. It brings the benefits that all your annotations and bookmarks stay with your pdf/epub/djvu, when using okular. Just leave the metadata to bibtex. After all, that is what bibtex expected to do. (Do one thing at a time and do it best.) - In short, it would be great if KBibTeX could rename the file automaticly with its md5. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

After readding the missing panel the ALT-F1 shortcut which used to open the application starter on my primary screen was not working. Ever since then I tried to reassign this shortcut, but I can't. When previewing project clips, and setting in and out points in them, any changes to in points causes a one second glitch in video playback three seconds later. Audio continues uninterupted. Using small proxy clips which play easily in real time on the machine. I can not reproduce this with a small project and single clips, photos or generated clips, but in my large project with 100 or so clips, this happens all the time. I tried to debug this with gbd there seems to be other bugs in the timer handling which causes crashes with SIGABRT. [bugs.kde.org] [Bug 383753] Consider changing some resolution statuses in bugs.kde.org to avoid making some people feel bad
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383753 --- Comment #3 from Christoph Feck--- > I'm marking this as RESOLVED INVALID, which just means that it's not our bug. We have UPSTREAM and DOWNSTREAM to indicate that it is not our bug. Do you know of tickets that we need to correct? > WONTFIX implies that we know it's a bug, but are [...] refusing to fix it WONTFIX should not be used for bugs. The exception is when WONTFIX is used as in CANNOTFIX (because of requirements or limitations of the underlying components), such as X11 requiring grabs for popups, etc. If a developer is not able to fix a bug, the ticket must remain open. Again, do you know of tickets where a developer used this resolution incorrectly? For feature request, a developer may decide that the feature should never be added and use the WONTFIX solution. The alternative to marking feature requests as WONTFIX is keeping them open. This is the norm, because a future developer might have a different opinion than the developer who first decided this. If, however, multiple developers raised valid points against a feature, it makes sense to close as WONTFIX. If it was a useful idea, it will be suggested again years later anyway, so a different batch of developers can decide anew. > I'd also like a TRIAGED_COULD_NOT_CONFIRM We have keywords, such as "triaged", "investigated", "reproducible", "needs_testcase" and "needs_verification". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 384005] With Latest Nvidia Drivers (384.69), Kscreenlocker has a segfault
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384005 --- Comment #11 from Martin Flöser--- I got some information from NVIDIA: the root problem is our seccomp filter which disallows write access. This results in NVIDIA not being able to open required files for writing in the /dev/ directory and that is the root cause for the crash. We were aware that disallowing write might cause problems and have a "hack" there to first open an OpenGL context in the hope that this triggers everything the driver needs. This seems to have been overly optimistic (it worked when we tested it). I'm currently working on a bug fix which can detect NVIDIA and disable the too restrictive seccomp rules. This of course means the sandbox is not fully functional any more on NVIDIA. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[korganizer] [Bug 384075] korganizer crashes on startup
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384075 --- Comment #2 from Achim Bohnet--- I've found out, that korganizer crashes, when I select the calendar 'work' (aka arbeiten in german) so that the events are displayed .
