Hi,

Skrooge doesn't read in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.
Moreover, your call stack contains only one line about skrooge and is not
really exploitable.

For me, the issue is more a packaging or an installation issue than a code
issue.

Did you try to uninstall and re-install Skrooge?

* I tried resetting Krita's configuration, and then restarted "Wacom
Profressional Service" in "Services.exe". (I'm not sure if that's what you mean
by the wacom driver configuration) I then restarted the computer, but when I
opened Krita again the problem still occured.

I am using 17.10 with back-ports turned on.  I use the defaults from how it
comes from the ppa's, meaning not reconfiguring the system in any major way.

That's a problem with gtk. From KWin side we cannot do anything. If the app
doesn't use the protocol we have no way to know what it wants.

Window rules could help, but are not yet fully implemented.

Hey there, to view all your excluded folders do the following:
1. Open up the System Settings
2. Choose Search -> File Search
3. There should be a table that shows you which folders are not indexed

If you are sure that the home folder is not excluded, try this:
1. Open up a terminal 
2. Type "balooctl index ~/" (without the quotation marks)
3. Paste the output here.

Hi folks,

for over a year I've been using Kdeconnect without problems, but since last
week's Android app upgrade, version 1.7.1, kdeconnect on my laptop would crash
every 2-3 hours, or even less.
The Android app shows then the following message: "this device is not connected
/can't find any other device. Make sure it's connected to the same Wifi
network", or something like that. In order to regain connection, I have to open
the settings window on Linux and click on Refresh several times. After a few
seconds, everything works again.
Clicking Refresh on Android, or introducing my laptop's private IP, did
nothing.


I've tried downgrading the Linux package, but to no avail. Uninstalling and
re-installing the Android app did nothing either. However, when I downgraded
the Android app to the previous version (1.6.6) using APKMirror, the error
disappeared until I upgraded it again.

I'm using an up-to-date Antergos, with KDE Plasma 5.11.5, KDE Frameworks
5.42.0, and kdeconnect 1.2.1-1 (the same happens with kdeconnect 1.2-1). 


On Linux, journalctl shows the following message every time the crash happens:

Hi,

I am using parley to learn Swedish vocabulary.

After assigning a sound file to an entry the sound plays as expected. After the
restart of parley then only the relative part (compared to the .kvtml) of the
sound-file is still present. This leads to the problem that the sound file can
not be played.
Though as relative path saving makes sense, I guess the problem is more with
the playing part.

I use parley version 2.10

OK, sounds like it might be a bug in your input drivers, maybe. Are you using
Libinput to drive your mouse, or something else? Or put another way, what
version of Kubuntu are you using? (17.10 uses libinput by default, 17.04
doesn't).

Guess you are right.
As we don't know where in the layouting/drawing Qt will leave gaps, there is no
chance to fix that, even if we would start to try to "overpaint" more.
It even happens inside text glyph runs in some zoom factors...

I am actually able to reproduce this issue with any QTextLayout based
applicaton.

Aka here my bugreport to Qt, using QtCreator as editor ;=)

=> Unfortunately I think, we can't fix that in KTextEditor.
I looked at the code and debugged the sizes, the layout sizes and the line
height sizes match perfectly, in all zoom factors.
Just sometimes Qt renders too few pixels and that leads to the stray background
leaking through, horizontally and vertically...

I'm unsure whether this is limited to the lightness levels filter, or others.
Copying a filter layer from b.kra to a.kra (from the smaller to the bigger)
results in the filter only being applied to part of the canvas area (as can be
seen in the attached png).
Presumably the size matches the size of the source. Using the move tool does
not move the lightened area.

When saving and opening the file, the issue is not present anymore and the
filter appears to be properly applied.

After latest update to 5.11.95, Discover appeared unbidden in Application
Launcher Favorites section.

Right click on Discover, select Remove from Favorites, and it goes away...
until the next time plasmashell is started or restarted.

Expected behavior: it really should not appear in Favorites unless selected.
AND, it should not reappear after it has been removed!

Great to hear the report is helpful.

Regarding the two other bugs: I have noticed them, too. They have been present
for quite a while now so this is likely not related to the current release. I
didn't report them so far since I couldn't reliably reproduce them, even though
they do occur quite often.

I have a X220 with an external monitor connected to it via docking station. I
have configured KScreen so that one screen extends the desktop. I am running
KDE Neon Git stable.

Since a few weeks the following phenomenon appears frequently with no
discernible pattern. Both screens turn black for a short moment. The external
screen then shows what it has shown before. The internal screen remains black.
The internal screen seems to still exist, because there is no reconfiguration.
It appears that the panel and the other windows remain on the black screen. The
shown configuration in KScreen remains unchanged. The problem is easy to fix
temporarily by changing the KScreen config to something else for the moment and
the reapplying the old one.
Installed version of Kscreen + libkf5screen7:
4:5.11.5+p16.04+git20180125.0934-0

I have tested if this might be a hardware problem by running Windows  for a few
hours. There this did not happen.

I guess you need some more detailed info on my configs? Please let me know what
commands I need to run.

Fix 'Font is always bold when model is opened, although default font is regular

Umbrello modifies font style to indicate specific class/member attribute
states, so we need to disable any font style preferences.

Because QFontDialog does not support disabling font style list, it is
required to fall back to KFontChooser for the KF5 variant.

Provided patch doesn't fix the problem for me. Login still hangs at "Checking
token...".

Akonadi shows the accessed URL on the console. When copy/pasting this URL into
a webbrowser, the server returns 404.

The source code of an operation can only be changed using the class's
Properties window, but not the operation's Properties.

Note: In the instructions below don't edit the 'new_operation()' using the Tree
View or it will work just fine!

How to reproduce?
1. Create a new class in a class diagram
2. Go to the class properties
3. Click on Operations > New Operation...
4. Add some "Source Code" in the Documentation section and click OK
5. Now click on the new_operation()'s Properties and try to change the code you
just entered. It wont't get saved.

The entered code is only editable in the class's "Properties > Operation
Settings > Documentation > Source Code" section.

However, I was able to get in and setup the database again. I found that the
entire contents of the MariaDB folder (which I had inside the Digikam folder)
had been deleted except for mysqld. I didn't do this and the files are not in
my antivirus quarantine, so at present I have no explanation.

I re-downloaded MariaDB and placed it outside of the Digikam folder. When I
first set the location of mysqld and hit enter it gave me the same error about
being able to update db scheme from 8 to 9.

I set the location of mysqld again and received no error, but it did not
restore the old database. Digikam is currently re-scanning the network drive.

Timeline

In Dates side menu clicking on January 1901 shows one thumbnail which is as
expected.

However in Timeline there is 1 item listed but no thumbnail appears.

Restarting has no effect.
Rereading metadata has no effect.

JIRA emails I receive are not threaded in message list. I tried all three
methods: Perfect, Perfect and Reference, Perfect, Reference and Subject.

I think the reason is that these messages have both In-Reply-To and References
headers filled, but there is never a parent with such ID. So they are in the
same thread, but there is never a thread parent. JIRA developers say that it is
set so, because you can start receiving mail during issue workflow, not from
the begining, so they mark threads correctly with the same ID, but there is
never parent.

I suspect that for some reason it never gets to Thread by Subject pass, so it
would be matched perfectly. Subject is complicated as well.

For evince the result is as expected. The window requests ssd and gets ssd.
Evince should not request SSD as it is CSD.

In the MyPaint case the decoration protocol is not used for the main window.
Thus it does not get any decoration. It's the surface with id 22.

I'm sorry, but it looks to me like KWin is working exactly as expected. Sway is
different - as it is tiling. The screenshot looks like all windows are
maximized and always server decorated. So it might just look working, but in
fact isn't.

Ok, I opened the "Compositer" System Settings module and switched the
"Rendering backend" from "XRender" to "OpenGL 3.1". Now the animation works.

As of the Plasma/5.12 branch (also reproduces on master), the screenshot pop-up
no longer gets keyboard focus, so you can't use the arrow keys to navigate

As a way of encouraging apps to improve their Appstream metadata, we should
consider adding a section to Discover's Featured page that displays apps with
the following characteristics:

- AppStream file passes XML validation and `appstreamcli validate`
- AppStream ID is valid and uses the best form (e.g. org.kde.kdenlive)
- ≥ 1 screenshot
- ≥ 1  tags with version, date, and changelog
-  tag that's valid
- URLs for homepage, documentation, donation, and bug tracker

This doesn't have to be permanent, as eventually developers will get the
picture and all start using good AppStream metadata. But until then, we should
consider making this change and then also work on a way to communicate this
information to developers, in collaboration with the GNOME Software folks (I
think their app already does this, or a variant of it).

I've seen this issue without ',Regular' too. However, at some moment it
transformed into this one (i.e., the ',Regular' parts appeared in files) and
after removing them the problem was gone. At the moment bold works correctly
for me, but I'm on unstable Gentoo, so KDE 5.11.5, frameworks 5.42.0, Qt 5.9.3.

If I have a scanned image with today's date, then I change EXIF "Creation date
and time" and "Original date and time" by Ctrl+Shft+M, the Dates side menu
doesn't reflect the change until digiKam is restarted.

For example, a scan of an old photograph from 1893 is set to 01/01/1893
12:00:00 but no 1893 year appears in the Dates side menu until digiKam is
restarted.

Additionally if I then change the date again to 1894, 1894 is missing, as
mentioned, but the 1893 year selection remains. However, clicking on 1893
yields no image. So it seems the database is correctly updated but the
construction of the Dates menu remains unchanged until a restart.

I tried the following but they are also ineffective:
View -> Refresh doesn't fix it.
Item -> Reread Metadata From Images.

So this turned out to be a nasty little beast.

Qt destroys the drag datasource on escape. But that's something KWayland didn't
handle at all and didn't expect to happen. So internally the drag and drop
continued and when releasing the mouse button this was interpreted as a
finished drag and drop operation. The drop target started to request the data
from the (now destroyed) datasource. And that triggered the crash.

I reworked the code to properly cancel the drag operation when the datasource
is destroyed.

Both of them crash kate only when there is one empty file open. If I would edit
that file or open an already created one, both commands will work properly.
Both File->New and File->Open work alright.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

The screenshot I uploaded shows that requesting SSD bring back the same issue
that you solved when CSDs were always being requested. It solved that
particular bug, but not this one.

Using a mariaDB 10, Host Port set to 3307.
Initial setup and start of digiKam is ok, working wit digiKam is possible.

When "digikam setup" is saved (closed with OK / even without any modification)
this causes an Error Message "Cant't connect to MySQL server on 'xxx' (10061)
QMYSQL Unable to connect.

Reason: Database Hostport setings are loaded with an altered port value set to
"3306" (default) into the setup panel, instaed with the one used with the
instalation and used when digikam starts.

When seting the port in the databse setings to the right value Prior confirming
wih OK (needed for any setting change, eg. adding a albumpath) the use of the
DB continues to be OK.

This happens now everytime I close KMail, even if the program does not

Tested this on Gentoo Linux amd64, KDE Plasma 5.11.5, KDE Frameworks 5.40.0, Qt
5.7.1 (all current stable as of 01/27/18), seems to have no effect at all, same
issues regarding bold/italic in all applications.

I'm suffering from this since upgrading after KDE 5.11.x was stabilized on
Gentoo a couple of days ago. Very annoying.

Also, I don't have any ',Regular' strings in any of the configuration files.

A combobox to select the compilation tool for the case pdf->png should be added
to let the user select other tools like Xelatex, Luatex

Changing line 155 of previewwidget.cpp to:

tasklist = "PreviewXeLaTeX,png";

compiles correctly with xelatex (though sometimes the image is not displayed,
but this is another bug)

Patch to fix error in quickpreview when including subdocuments

The problem is more extended. If the preview file contains any type of
subdocument it will fail.

For example if I try to compile a figure environment this will fail because it
cannot include the picture.

The problem is that the preview.tex file is created in a temporary directory in
/tmp so that it does not see the rest of the latex tree files.

The attached patch solves the problem by creating the preview.tex file in the
latex project root folder.
