Committed on 24/01/2019 at 07:34. Pushed by broulik into branch 'Plasma/5.12'. [KRDB] Write correct tooltip colors into gtkrc in kcminit kcminit for performance reasons is not desktop settings aware which means it won't load the plasma integration plugin and as such not apply the color scheme to Qt's widgets. When writing the GTK config, it would read them from kdeglobals directly. However, for tooltips it would use QToolTip::palette() which would then use Qt's default palette in kcminit. Use the QPalette we created from kdeglobals to get the tooltip colors instead. [kdeplasma-addons] [Bug 403541] Quicklaunch widget should require confirmation before removing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403541 --- Comment #1 from Ed Biow --- It is very easy to accidentally remove the Quicklaunch widget from the panel. That is a minor PITA, because to set up the Quicklaunch the way I like it takes 10 minutes. I have accidentally done this more times than I can count while trying to modify something in the Quicklaunch. As far as I know the only way to remove any other widgets from the panel is to go in to Panel Settings, and if you do remove the widget it immediately gives you an option to Undo your action. The Quicklaunch is the one widget which you can remove from the context menu with no confirmation or undo, and this is particularly egregious, since it is the one widget that actually takes more than a short time to set up properly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Breeze] [Bug 403512] Inconsistency in widget icons in panels
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403512 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO Status|REPORTED|NEEDSINFO CC||n...@kde.org --- Comment #4 from Nate Graham --- Correct, not a duplicate. However I'm not sure if it's possible to fix this. When you add an app launcher widget or an icons-only task manager for example, those icons are always going to be colorful--and appropriately so. So there will always be some colorful icons on the panel, no matter its height. And system tray icons are always going to be monochrome (barring a few bug in apps that define their own system tray icons), no matter the panel's height. The only thing we could do here is *maybe* have monochrome versions of widget icons and panel representations at small sizes. Do you think that would be be good enough, or a pointless endeavor given the above limitations? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 403534] Wrong and misleading definition of a certificate’s subject
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403534 --- Comment #2 from Karl Ove Hufthammer --- (In reply to Yuri Chornoivan from comment #1) > (In reply to Karl Ove Hufthammer from comment #0) > > In (currently line 142 of) okular/ui/certificateviewer.cpp, ‘Subject’ is > > defined as ‘The person/company that made the signature’, as is used as a > > hint to translators. But the definition is wrong. It’s actually the > > definition of ‘Issuer’, *not* of ‘Subject’. > > For me, the definition is right. > > From RFC 5280 for X.509 certificate which is the main part of the signature > [1]: I’m aware of RFC 5280. I’m not sure how the string is actually presented in the UI (I tried recompiling Okular, but didn’t find any certificate/signature related things in the UI – perhaps I’m missing a dependency?) As the implementation is really in terms of certificates, I guess I was confused and interpreted ‘The person/company that made the signature’ as ‘The person/company that made the certificate’ (which is the issuer). But if the UI is based on showing information about the signature, shouldn’t it use less technical descriptions, like ‘Signed by’ instead of ‘Subject’? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 402738] symlinks to mounted NTFS volumes are hidden in Dolphin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402738 Wolfgang Bauer changed: What|Removed |Added CC||wba...@tmo.at --- Comment #4 from Wolfgang Bauer --- Well, I can confirm the problem with symlinks here (dolphin 18.12.1, Qt 5.12.0, KF 5.54.0), which is a bit strange because I explicitly tested symlinks back in https://phabricator.kde.org/D13782 and it worked fine then (with the mentioned followup change)... :-/ I did some investigation, and the problem seems to be that ep->d_type = 10 now (which is DT_LNK), i.e. the "if (ep->d_type == DT_DIR || ep->d_type == DT_UNKNOWN)" branch is not taken anymore for some reason. So the fix should be to change that to: if (ep->d_type == DT_DIR || ep->d_type == DT_UNKNOWN || ep->d_type == DT_LNK) I'll test it and submit a patch to phabricator later... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403403 David Edmundson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@davidedmundson.co.uk --- Comment #4 from David Edmundson --- I don't think it has anything to do with the contents of the comobox. Because QQC2 popups are inline. There's a QQuickOverlay across the rest of the window that detects mouse clicks. That doesn't seem to work on the KCM case because someone else is stealing the clicks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I'll have to book mark this for later, the script is really helpful. At the end of the day it's because of Node.setColorProfile() and likewise I tried Document.setColorProfile() with no luck. As for the file layer I've tried another .kra file so that was the issue there. I'm going to close this as pretty much all has been answered, as much as it could have been :) Thanks for all the help Wolthera -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kunitconversion] [Bug 402798] Add data units (bits, bytes, kilobits, kibibytes, etc)

Do I submit a > patch here, or to Phabricator? On Phabricator. Here are the instructions: https://community.kde.org/Infrastructure/Phabricator > Also, how do I temporarily replace my system's kunitconversion for testing? There are three ways: 1. Source the prefix.sh file created by CMake (which is located at ~/kde/build/frameworks-kunitconversion/prefix.sh if you're using kdesrc-build) and then restart krunner. 2. Do your development in a KDE Neon dev unstable VM and configure kdesrc-build to copy all built binaries to /usr automatically, then reboot. 3. Copy the build binaries to the appropriate locations in /usr and restart krunner. Once you're done testing, reinstall your distro-provided package.
