[plasmashell] [Bug 409654] Usability Feature: Simpler UI for handling Sound Outputs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409654 --- Comment #3 from Ruben --- The problem is, the feature "automatically switch all running streams when a new output is detected" never works for me for HDMI (KDE Neon 16.2 User Edition). Even being able to see the advanced list under "Show Additional Options For Speakers" would be an improvement. It's odd because if I plug in a USB headset, it works as I would expect. The additional sound option comes up on the list of playable devices when I click on the volume system tray icon. However, this does not happen when I plug in an HDMI cable. In Unity/Cinnamon/Gnome, both the HDMI cable and USB headset behaved in the same manner. I'm not sure why they behave differently in KDE. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 409663] New: Faster Metadata editing interface
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409663 Bug ID: 409663 Summary: Faster Metadata editing interface Product: digikam Version: 6.1.0 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Metadata-Editor Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: peter.m.jes...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Currently metadata editing is quite a long process in most editors and I've looked at. Here's my challenge - I am digitizing hundreds of strips of old negative. I want a metadata editor that allows me to quickly edit mainly: - date taken - location data - caption - type of negative may be interesting This data varies from image to image so for most current editors this means navigating into a dialog for each image and also in the cas of dates, updating several fields. What would be very useful would be an editable grid for metadata. This would ideally include a selector dialog for the columns to be displayed (both read only and editable EXIF, IPTC etc). Ideally the view would include a thumbnail image or the selected row could link to a preview panel. Another nice feature would be the automatic (configurable) replication of data between meta fields (e.g. copy EXIT date to IPTC date), so you could enter one date to update several date fields. [krita] [Bug 409661] New: Brush properties widget (on the right) in Popup Palette becomes smaller and smaller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409661 Bug ID: 409661 Summary: Brush properties widget (on the right) in Popup Palette becomes smaller and smaller Product: krita Version: unspecified Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Dockers Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: darkuran...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 121435 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121435=edit Screenshots SUMMARY The brush properties widget in the Popup Palette becomes smaller and smaller as it's (re)opened. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0. Create a new image, or open existing 1. Open popup palette 2. Close popup palette 3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 as necessary; brush changes may be required to trigger the bug in some cases (as opposed to merely open/close) OBSERVED RESULT (tl;dr: see "krita-bug.mkv" within the attached archive) The brush properties widget within the Popup Palette will become smaller and smaller as it's reopened (compare "popup-palette-1.png" and "popup-palette-2.png"), eventually making the brush properties useless. If the issue does not immediately appear, it seems to be triggered by clicking & dragging on the up/down arrows next to a property (but only with some brushes). Brush changes seem to speed up the process, although it is quite fast as it is. EXPECTED RESULT The widget should not shrink as the palette is closed & reopened, but stay the same size. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Krita: 4.2.2 Windows: 10 Education N (64-bit) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The issue seems to only happens once per program start --- and the abnormal size is only present on the image where it happens (in other words: creating another image and trying the same thing seems to not trigger the bug again). This happens with both a mouse *and* a drawing tablet. I can reproduce this issue the vast majority of the time without needing a brush change to trigger it (approximately 25 out of 30 tests), and 100% of the time with a brush change. In no case did it ever reappear after I had opened a 2nd image. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 409658] New: Stream sound through KDE-Connect
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409658 Bug ID: 409658 Summary: Stream sound through KDE-Connect Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: raphael@jakse.fr Target Milestone: --- Hello, I often want to stream music to the phone from the computer, or from the computer to the phone. Streaming sound from the phone to the computer is somewhat possible using Bluetooth, if the computer happens to be a laptop or a tablet or has a bluetooth adapter, by making the computer advertise itself as a sound device using PulseAudio. The biggest problems here is requiring Bluetooth support on the computer and having to fiddle with settings, and distance between the phone and the computer. The reverse is also possible, by using Simple Protocol Player (https://kaytat.com/blog/?page_id=301), but this is hard to setup, or by using the PulseAudio server built in XServer XSDL, but I found it does not work reliably and requires leaving the app at the foreground and the screen on. It also requires running apps using the PULSE_SERVER environment on the computer, since XServer XSDL does not advertise its PulseAudio Server using Avahi. It would be great if KDEConnect could add a PulseAudio sink that would stream audio to the phone. What do you think about this? The reverse (playing sound from the phone on the computer) is probably harder / impossible to do (I don't know if Android APIs allow to hijack sound playing on the device), but it would be a nice feature. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've been using KMM for almost 15 years and have over 18k transactions and when I download from all 10 or 11 of my online banking accounts it takes 10 to 12 seconds. Individually each takes 2 or 3 seconds. I am running the latest version of KMM compiled from the 5.0 branch of the source code and I'm running on Linux so there are 2 major difference between our systems. Have you tried running the latest KMM 5 for Windows? There have been some postings about where to get it. Are all banks equally slow? What have you set the start date of import to? Try to shorten it an see if that helps (some banks seem to ignore this setting). What happens if you download the OXF or QFX file and then manually import it into KMM? I have done this in a number of environments: Windows: The OS usually autodetects HDMI and switches to that automatically. I can switch it back manually (as of Windows 10, a feature I am thankful for) Gnome/Unity/Mint: The OS detects the presence of an HDMI output, and with two clicks, I can switch to it. KDE Plasma: There is no detection of HDMI. I have to pull up sound settings (through the app or the volume widget), navigate to "Advanced", and switch the "built-in audio" setting to some item in a list that I have to guess. The KDE Plasma workflow is needlessly long and difficult and adversely affects usability and productivity. I am wondering if there is any way this can be automated to fit Gnome's behavior through some clever use of profiles. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 409460] Canvas pan & zoom frame 'spacing' inconsistent
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409460 --- Comment #26 from Aaron Lavarnway --- Unfortunately I don't have many friends with other graphics cards so I didn't mean for the list to be an all-encompassing sample set. The issue is still there when using software rendering. But in addition to the frame 'timing' being off, it also drops frames since it's not rendering under 60FPS. The other software I talked about's main selling point is that it's entirely GPU based, so yes it is utilizing the card as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 409460] Canvas pan & zoom frame 'spacing' inconsistent
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409460 --- Comment #25 from Boudewijn Rempt --- That sounds like a set of graphics cards with very little diversity... I cannot reproduce it, or maybe I just cannot see this, but I mainly use Intel GPU based systems. Maybe that's relevant, too. Does this also happen if you disable GPU acceleration? And that "other application" you were talking about, does that use GPU acceleration? Or only software rendering? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 409460] Canvas pan & zoom frame 'spacing' inconsistent
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409460 --- Comment #24 from Aaron Lavarnway --- I've been asking around to some other artists, and this seems to be a widespread issue. So far it's been confirmed happening on: Win 10 / GTX 980TI / 64GB (mine) Ubuntu 19.04 / GTX 980TI / 64GB (mine, dual booted) Win 10 / GTX 1080 / 16GB Win 10 / GTX 2080 / 16GB Win 10 / GTX 2080TI / 16GB Ubuntu 16.04 / GTX 1080TI / 16GB Win 10 / GTX 1060 / 16GB And I still have friends checking their own, so the list may grow. But so far I haven't found anyone who isn't having this issue. I have slow motion footage from each of my friend's computers as well that I had asked for. It has to be something deeper in how Krita handles panning/zooming. I know as someone who stares at Krita 6-8 hours a day it can get a bit frustrating or grating. Possibly even nauseating. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmymoney] [Bug 409557] Bank OFX Files getting Slower to process
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409557 --- Comment #1 from bren...@coupeware.com --- I'm guessing something else is wrong. I am not a developer, just trying to help. [Akonadi] [Bug 406917] Sync of webdav calendar stuck forever
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406917 --- Comment #9 from Rigo Wenning --- I found the culprit. It was an ICS from Air Lingus that wasn't parsable. I removed it from the calendar and now it works again. Looks like there is an algorithm missing in the davgroup that throws away stuff that it can't digest and notify the user. I'm not using the move tool. It also occurs with rotating, and scrubby zooming. I don't believe it's an issue with how many frames are being generated or the priority they are placed at, I've always gotten over 100 FPS on all my canvases. Especially on these builds which go up to 200 or 300 FPS. It's an issue with the relative position of the canvas between frames. If the canvases that are drawn on each frame aren't equidistant from each other, it gives an illusion of lower FPS or missing frames. When in actuality it's always been a solid 60 FPS. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

A null pointer dereference happened three times in FdoSelectionManager::init at /usr/src/debug/plasma-workspace-5.15.5-1.fc30.x86_64/xembed-sni-proxy/fdoselectionmanager.cpp:69 which was if (reply->present) { The pointer reply was null as shown in the following gdb full trace of all threads from abrt. Core was generated by `/usr/bin/xembedsniproxy'.
[kio-extras] [Bug 409364] Apparmor disallows opening of multimedia files on LAN (i.e. opening of temporary file in ~/.cache/kioexec/krun/*/ is disallowed)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409364 --- Comment #6 from Terry --- I strongly suspect that this issue is related to a unresolved bug report in a different forum, i.e. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/1766628 however I have carefully examined the apparmor profile on my machine, i.e. var/lib/snapd/apparmor/profiles/snap.vlv.vlc but at the moment it is still unclear to me how apparmor allows vlc to open an identical copy of the same video file in ~/Videos but disallows it in ~/.cache/kioexec/krun/*/. At this point in my current confused state, my queries are: 1) Are ordinary users really expected to solve (and compensate for) apparmor's complex and strange decisions? 2) Which is the most appropriate forum for reporting this bug? It seems like there ought to be collective responsibilty for this type of thing: perhaps the kde development team needs to exchange information with the apparmor development team a bit more? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409552 --- Comment #11 from Boudewijn Rempt --- Okay, I've got it now. This happens whenever there are duplicated layer names in the document, in this case, to layers called "Layer 1". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 409257] Baloo index gets corrupted, no results
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409257 --- Comment #26 from S --- (In reply to S from comment #25) > (In reply to Igor Poboiko from comment #24) > > > This patch might help: https://phabricator.kde.org/D21427. > > Can anyone confirm? > > Nice work Igor! I'm building baloo5 with that patch now and I'll test it > throughout my workday today. This is tentatively looking good! It survived a long day of work yesterday, including quite a few reboots (because I was diagnosing a different unrelated bug... :-/ ) I'd say push this change to master. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
