https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411026 Bug ID: 411026 Summary: Maintain Absolute Sidebar Size On Window Resize Product: okular Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: cameron.g.rodg...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- When the Okular window is resized, the sidebar maintains its size relative to window size. IE, if I have deliberately changed the sidebar to 200px in width, and I make the window twice as wide, the sidebar will become 400px wide. This is an undesirable behavior, as the user is likely resizing the window to get a wider view of the rendered PDF contents, and they have already decided that the sidebar is as wide as needed for viewing, e.g., a table of contents. Instead, the size of the sidebar should be absolute, and not change when the window is resized. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 411025] New: Remove Dimming Effect on Windows, Move Title Bars
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411025 Bug ID: 411025 Summary: Remove Dimming Effect on Windows, Move Title Bars Product: kwin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: effects-present-windows Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: cameron.g.rodg...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- The dimming effect on windows in the Present Windows effect makes it harder to immediately recognize their contents, as they have less contrast with the dimmed background. This is compounded by the location of title bars (if they're enabled), right in the middle of the windows, obscuring their contents. The title bar location also makes the title bars harder to read too. Here are some screenshots of similar effects in GNOME, Windows 10, and MacOS: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c2/Shows_Overview_mode_%28%22Activities%22%29_in_GNOME_3.8.png https://images.techhive.com/images/article/2015/07/taskview-100598415-orig.png https://cdn.arstechnica.net/2011/07/04/lion/mission-control-big.png As you can see, the dimming (if present) is not applied to the windows, and the title bars are either to the bottom or top. This is better for readability. I think that at very least, an option to apply this setting in the effect would improve KDE's looks and usability. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 411016] krita stops drawing and gives me a message when i save
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411016 Tymond changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tamtamy.tym...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from Tymond --- Hi! Krita you bought on Steam is the same Krita that you can download from the website (just with the addition that on Steam, your Krita updates yourself; if you download from the website, you need to update it yourself). Please go to the website https://krita.org/en/download/krita-desktop/ and then scroll down a bit, there is a section called "Nightly Builds". There are two options: Krita Next and Krita Plus. Please click on the Krita Plus Windows version. Then you'll be redirected to this website: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krita_Stable_Windows_Build/ - please download the file that looks like this: krita-nightly-x64-v4.2.5-[number]-[some random letters and numbers].zip - just make sure it's .zip, not -dbg.zip. Then unpack it (it's a .zip archive after all) and click on the 'krita' file inside. It will open Krita. Please use it for a little while and see if the issue persists there or not. It's a new version, newer than what you have on Steam, so it contains some code that should fix your issue - but we need you to check it. If the issue doesn't show up in this version, then that means that when we make a new official version of Krita (on Steam, too), it will be fixed there, too :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 411018] New: Running a command from the Android app using a URL, does not work anymore on the background from Android 10 (Q) and up.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411018 Bug ID: 411018 Summary: Running a command from the Android app using a URL, does not work anymore on the background from Android 10 (Q) and up. Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Android OS: other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: android-application Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: jolanren...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Running a command from the Android app using a URL, does not work anymore on the background from Android 10 (Q) and up. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have an Android device running Android Q beta 6 (or higher when available) 2. Connect to a pc, add a command, long press the command to copy the URL 3. Have an automation app like "Tasker" open the copied URL in automated manner OBSERVED RESULT When Tasker is opened, the URL works, KDE Connect opens and the command is executed. When Tasker is not opened in the direct foreground, the URL can not be opened as Android Q now prohibits apps from opening activities from the background. EXPECTED RESULT On older Android versions, opening an activity from the background (as is the case here) worked fine, but on Q nothing happens when the URL should open. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Android: 10.0 (Q) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A good and working solution would be to implement the Takser (Locale) API which allows a couple of automation apps (where Tasker is simply the most popular one) to send commands in automated manner to KDE Connect. Information can be found here: https://tasker.joaoapps.com/developers.html What is required, is an "action plugin", which broadly requires an activity where the user can choose which command to execute and a broadcast receiver, to execute a set-up command when Tasker sends the signal. https://tasker.joaoapps.com/plugins.html What works even faster (but is Tasker specific) is using an IntentService in addition to a broadcast receiver. This is explained here: https://tasker.joaoapps.com/pluginsservicesmigration.html -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 411013] export png to google photos or google drive fails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411013 --- Comment #9 from Maik Qualmann --- If you want to work with PNG, note that digiKam uses at least Exiv2-0.27.1.
