2019-12-23 Thread Postix
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415481

Bug ID: 415481
Summary: Get new wallpaper: Bigger previews of the images.
   Product: frameworks-knewstuff
   Version: 5.65.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jpwhit...@kde.org
  Reporter: pos...@posteo.eu
CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

It's all about the images, however especially those are very tiny. IMHO the
previews are most important aspect and that's why they need to be BIG and
clearly visible.

There are plenty of clickable links in the "Get new wallpaper" download dialog.
However, those links do not only point to *.kde.org but also to external sites.

Surprises on Christmas are fine. However, here it would be very convenient to
know the link destination before opening a link.

Hi. I re-installed Okular on my system today from Fedora repositories. It is
version: 1.6.2

I noticed that there are 2 icons can be added to Okular toolbars:
"Configure Toolbars | Main Toolbar | then added "Eraser" & "Erase
Drownings"

But I can not use them ! When I trying any of them no thing happened & I can
not erase any thing !

Please is this bug ? Do you add this feature (eraser) ? How to use them & where
?

You're probably using Kubuntu or KDE Neon, which set the wrong file permissions
on the kde_settings.conf file so the kcm can't actually read them.

That's why you don't see the right theme selected or the autologin option
checked.

It was complete coincidence. I just decided to set up a shared workstation with
Kubuntu 18.10 for reasons and noticed the unusual translation. I honestly
haven't thought much about it (in large part because I haven't used the
workstation a whole lot myself) until I saw the complaints.

Not too surprising to me. Another sign of globalization. Some just feel
'English is cool'.

That's… Exactly how I feel, actually. You couldn't have put it better. Combined
with your other arguments, I feel satisfied enough to not contend this matter

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 124666
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=124666=edit
Screenshot of the issue.

SUMMARY

In the detailed view, a folder is only highlighted if the mouse directly hovers
over the rectangle bounding the icon and the file name.
This is an indicator that this folder will be used.
If it is not highlighted it should indicate that it's not going to be involved
in an action.

However, dragging and dropping files left to the tree of subfolders, will
actually copy them into the subfolder (which is in the same line as the mouse
pointer), although it's not highlighted.

It's not quiet easy to undo this unwanted action. Ctrl+R does not work.

However, if it is actually the intention to drop it into the subfolder, it
would be very convenient if the whole line were highlighted.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Like in the screenshot:

1. Details view
2. Drag files or folders
3. Drop them left of the tree

OBSERVED RESULT
No subfolder is highlighted.
Files or folders are copied into the subfolder, which is in the same line as
the mouse pointer.

EXPECTED RESULT
The files are dropped into the main folder OR the subfolder line is
highlighted.
For the latter case, if the files should go to the main folder, the user would
need to drop it onto the most right folder of the bread crumb or the user first
has to go a level up.

@Oliver, The file is part of gunzipped /usr/share/man/man1/okular.1.gz from
Arch Linux package extra/okular 19.12.0-1 .

I also built from master and still the problem persists.

It may have to do with some package version used on Arch Build- on my machine
as well as the packager.

Following are the software versions on my system, that I think maybe related to
the issue :

2019-12-23 Thread Rebecca Breu

Bug ID: 415476
Summary: ctrl+click on canvas doesn't always disable eraser
mode
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.2.8
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 124665
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=124665=edit
system info/debug log

SUMMARY

Once in a while, when cltr+clicking on the canvas to pick a colour, the eraser
mode doesn't reset. I'm not sure if there are steps to make this 100%
reproducible, but my observations so far:

1. Only seems to happen when the colour I pick from the canvas is the same as
the colour already selected
2. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with Gamut masks
3. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with layers
4. I only use my stylus (pen side) for this—not switching between input
devices, not using the eraser side of the stylus

I'm on the krita-4.2.8-x86_64.appimage

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Paint a big solid brush stroke with one colour
2. Switch to eraser mode with E
3. Ctrl+click on the brush stroke from step 1 so that you are picking the same
colour you already have. You might need to repeat steps 2-3 a couple of times.

OBSERVED RESULT

Sometimes it switches eraser mode off, sometimes it doesn't.

EXPECTED RESULT

Should always switch eraser mode off

So, after looking at the code and the documentation, I suspect the issue is not
really the reference count of the tuple itself, but of the individual
arguments, which would explain why you do not hit this assertion if the
function has no arguments.

Screencast showing the problematic behavior with Kate

This is using a single monitor in standard orientation (just to make sure its
not an issue with weird screen geometry).

The flickering seen in the video is probably an artifact of the screencast
software (volkoscreen), as I have not observed it on the real display.

[kwin] [Bug 415475] New: [X11] Blur desktop effect region position is off for KDE menus

2019-12-23 Thread Oded Arbel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415475

Bug ID: 415475
Summary: [X11] Blur desktop effect region position is off for
KDE menus
   Product: kwin
   Version: git master
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: effects-various
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: o...@geek.co.il
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 124661
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=124661=edit
Window operation menu at the top of the screen (vertical screen orientation)

SUMMARY
With the kwin blur desktop effect enabled on X11, the region blurred is
positioned incorrectly for menus of KDE applications.

Usually the blurred region is positioned down and to the right of the expected
position with the offset larger the farther down and to the right the menu
should be displayed

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable blur desktop effect.
2. Enable menu transparency using the translucency desktop effect.
3. Open a kde menu, such as the kwin window operation menu, or the standard
menu of a KDE application.

OBSERVED RESULT
The region under the menu is not fully blurred or not blurred at all, while a
region outside the menu is blurred.

EXPECTED RESULT
The region under the menu should be completely blurred and no other area on the
screen should be blurred.

CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Flatpak
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US

And LO Calc and LO Calc BASIC do not crash after downsizing 'Watches Panel' or
'Call Stack Panel' towards the bottom of the screen.

That's it, the problem is the VCL.

If I see it correctly, your document from http://cipa.jp describes the standard
for digital still cameras and not for JPEG.

I think this document is for the JPEG file format:
https://www.w3.org/Graphics/JPEG/jfif3.pdf

And here is a good overview of the use of other APPX segments:
https://github.com/corkami/formats/blob/master/image/jpeg.md

The program jpegexiforient can only process images directly from digital
cameras.
