[frameworks-qqc2-desktop-style] [Bug 419521] New: ComboBox.valueRole is not available

2020-04-01 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419521

Bug ID: 419521
   Summary: ComboBox.valueRole is not available
   Product: frameworks-qqc2-desktop-style
   Version: 5.68.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: notm...@gmail.com
  Reporter: v2ray@gmail.com
CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

As discussed in https://github.com/Dr-Incognito/V2Ray-Desktop/issues/2, the
package `qqc2-desktop-style` provides a very old version of ComboBox.qml.

The programs built with newer versions of Qt cannot run normally because they
use the one located in
/usr/lib/qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls.2/org.kde.desktop/ComboBox.qml instead of
/usr/lib/qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls.2/ComboBox.qml.

Could you tell me how to solve this issue?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. git clone https://github.com/Dr-Incognito/V2Ray-Desktop.git
2. git submodule init
3. git submodule update --progress
4. cd V2Ray-Desktop
5. mkdir -p build && cd build
6. qmake PREFIX=/usr ../src
7. make -j$nproc
8. ./V2Ray-Desktop

OBSERVED RESULT

Click the "Servers" in the sidebar, the right panel is blank.
You will also get an error message saying that "ComboBox.valueRole is not
available".

EXPECTED RESULT

Click the "Servers" in the sidebar, the right panel can be loaded normally.

Estimation probability of what bug happened after reboot was about 25-40%.

In fact, I actually just tested it in Dolphin and Dolphin does already

To add on to that, in most file browsers I've used, shift+click will select
from your current row and invert-select up to the row you shift+clicked on,
which eliminates the need for click+dragging altogether. I'm not saying it
shouldn't be implemented -- just providing an alternative answer to the
"selecting multiple files might be hard" problem.

Our own open/save dialog does this too, so it's a bit odd that Dolphin doesn't.

One concern is that this could make multi-selection using a box more difficult.
Indeed, the file dialog doesn't even implement this at all. Nonetheless, the
other file managers you mentioned seem to have solved this problem in a fairly
elegant way:
- click-and-drag upwards in an empty area = drag a selection box
- click-and-drag sideways in an empty area = drag-and-drop
- click-and-drag in any direction on an item's icon or label = drag-and-drop

I think it would make sense if Dolphin implemented this too (and then the file
dialog, for that matter)

[kmymoney] [Bug 419519] New: Reports: Base Currency Conversions Incorrect

2020-04-01 Thread JAH
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419519

Bug ID: 419519
Summary: Reports: Base Currency Conversions Incorrect
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: 5.0.8
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: reports
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: vanques...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When reporting foreign currency transactions with the flag "Convert to Base
Currency" ticked kmymoney calculates the wrong value for base currency

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a dividend for a security denominated in a foreign currency
2. The transaction is correctly converted to a base currency value in the
brokerage account
3. Report the transaction and tick "Convert to base currency"

OBSERVED RESULT
The reported "base currency" value does not match that in the base currency
brokerage account.

REMOVE the "Convert to base currency" flag and the report DOES convert the
value into the base currency value (& CORRECTLY!) but precedes it with the
foreign currency code (expected).

It seems to me that with the "Convert to base Currency" flag:
UNTICKED: kmymoney converts the values to base currency anyway (but
accurately).
TICKED : kmymoney does the conversion TWICE over by the same rate (by my
calculation)

EXPECTED RESULT
UNTICKED: kmymoney should NOT convert foreign currency values to base currency
at all.
TICKED : kmymoney should convert foreign currency values base currency
accurately

[k3b] [Bug 419490] K3b uses "home/user/videos" instead of "/tmp" as "Default temporary directory"

2020-04-01 Thread Patrick Silva
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419490

Default temporary directory was /tmp in previous versions of K3b.
Why was this setting changed? Workaround for bug 385367?
I have found no explaination about the purpose of default temporary directory
setting in K3b handbook. Nero burning rom on Windows, for example, uses a
temporary folder to cache files before and during burning. Is this also the
purpose of default temporary directory setting of K3b?
If so, I don't think that a folder used to store personal data is a good
location to store data that a software uses internally. It would as an internet
browser saving images from webpages in /home/user/pictures by default.

Looks like I can suggest reproduction steps for the the bug:
I attached Screenshot_20200402_005354.png file there you can see illustration:
create folder on a desktop with the name

"archive (deep storage, non-working settle-down files)" w/o quotes.

Place it in the top-left corner of a desktop. Reboot pc. Next time you enter
your local account you'll see horizontal scrollbar of desktop became wider than
screen width and that icons moved to another positions.

PS That string is not so unique: it contains only a-z chars and over symbols
are very typical: ()-,.
May be it is some clue position of symbols with settings of desktop icons I
wrote earlier.

SUMMARY

It seems that with 5.18 release system tray icon positions are not being kept
in one spot in between logins.
Not sure if my system is the only which is acting up.

Problems it is causing for me:
- Unable to predict where sound icon will be, messing with muscle memory, makes
it harder to hit. It used to always reside right next to the clock.
- Player icon, now it's useless for my use case, because I can't predict where
I'm going to hit before looking at it, and that bastard seems to always sit
somewhere random.

Just generally no longer am I able to use muscle memory to quickly find and aim
at icons.

[krita] [Bug 406764] Add tag support to layers

2020-04-01 Thread Larpon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406764

The common thing all this functionality ( I speak of in the above ) relies on,
is tags I right now have to put in special characters in the layer names and
store settings for in group layer names. You can see how in my
krita-bulk-action plugin on github.

[krita] [Bug 406764] Add tag support to layers

2020-04-01 Thread Larpon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406764

@Tymond yes of course. I guess this could be implemented as a plugin easily if
we had functionality similar to GIMP's parasites. So via parasites on layers we
could indeed have tag data stored in these parasites. Parasites is probably a
bad name. It should probably be called meta- or simply, user data. But the
concept is to allow plugin authors to store and retrieve (at least string) data
on each layer which is saved with the project file. It would allow for plugins
to store and operate on data across krita sessions, which a layer tagging
solution would require. Right now I am personally resorting to base64 encoding
in group layer names to store my data along with the document
(krita-bulk-actions).

Now if there was an official layer tag functionality in krita, plugins could
adhere to that API and base functionality off of that. Thus operating on tags
already available or sat by the user.

If an official layer tagging API was available it could be used by other krita
functionality to let the user target specific (tagged) layers to run operations
on instead of having to manually select the same X layers everytime you need to
apply a filter, color adjust, select from, copy from etc. I'm sure it could be
used for much more.

Right now I'm using my own plugin to switch multiple layers visibility and
also to set opacity for multiple layers. I'm also using it to set the document
in different "states" one state is often "export" where one button push allows
me to set all the layer values and filters I want on before exporting. I have a
similar "working" state set I can switch on and off, and also a "sketch/note"
state that shows indications, notes or specific selections for certain areas.

Hi Antonio,

thank you – i missed that one #411263. So, this bug is already known.
Intentionally omitting the -n option and dealing with a pop-up window literally
is a cosmetical issue. It is not logical, though. Probably, if there is no fix
so far, you should consider to document this mismatch in the command line
--help.

I also can confirm the exact same error message, which is mentioned here
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411263#c1 when running spectacle with
-rbcn cli options:
kf5.kconfig.core: "\"cropRegion\" - conversion of \"0,0,0,0\" to QRect failed"

Found what seems to be a bizarre bug today, wasn't even sure what product to
place it under.

Steps to reproduce
1. Add maori as a keyboard layout
2. Apply changes

Now walking though windows (Alt + tab) doesn't work, even if maori isn't the
currently active keyboard layout. Removing maori from keyboard layouts list
returns functionality. Changing walking windows shortcut (e.g. Meta + tab) also
makes it work again.

[digikam] [Bug 419410] Fuji S3Pro Image Preview Rotation is wrong

2020-04-01 Thread Martin Althoff
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419410

Maik,

thanks for that. Your screenshot is correct. There is an old (2014) xmp
sidecar. After
applying "normal", the sidecar changed: from tiff:Orientation="8" (rotated
left) to tiff:Orientation="1".

I am a bit worried to automatically deal with metadata/sidecars (read or write)
(there are
a few thousand xmp's), for a) fear of loosing information eg. tags that I
introduced years
ago or b) reading garbage into digikam.

take care again,
Martin

[digikam] [Bug 419409] exif dates shown are wrong in some images

2020-04-01 Thread Maik Qualmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419409

Since we have had this topic for a long time, I now have a lot of test images
with date information. There are images where the users have already corrected
the dates in the XMP field with other programs, but Exif is still wrong, etc.
With a manual selection, it would only fit for a part of the images. No,
digiKam must solve this itself as intelligently as possible.

Maik

[krita] [Bug 419509] New: Appimage git 62b9516 (Apr 1 build) crashes after splash sceen

2020-04-01 Thread Ahab Greybeard
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419509

Bug ID: 419509
Summary: Appimage git 62b9516 (Apr 1 build) crashes after
splash sceen
   Product: krita
Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!)
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Usability
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: ahab.greybe...@hotmail.co.uk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The April 1st 4.3.0 prealpha appimage crashes after displaying the start

It gets through 'Adding resource types' then vanishes after 'Loading Main
Window'

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I still have to download it as a document (which takes a long time) due to the
binary factory problems with appimages.
