Initial run of the 20.08.3 game seems to work.
Sorry to see the toolbar icons are not following my icon theme I've created. I
had nice undo and redo etc icons for the old program.
Also I can't get the 'add new card decks to work'. Error:
Loading of providers from file: https://autoconfig.kde.org/ocs/providers.xml
failed
I also had carddecks svg.poker that were nice cards. I attached 2 items to
show.
If there's anything I can do more let me know.

Can confirm with my touchscreen's pen.

We're not doing any special handling here so I suspect that the cause of this
issue is deep within Qt. I notice that I can't actually activate *anything* in
the applet with my pen. Touching it to the screen results in an item being
expanded or collapsed. Can anyone confirm?

Have installed 20.08.03 on the system that froze previously. In the meanwhile
that system has been upgraded from Fedora 32 to Fedora 33.(Kernel 5.9.8-200)

Sad to report that the same freeze occurs with Wayland and not with Xorg.

In Xorg mode, I opened a large 1080p project on version 20.08.03 and the system
became unresponsive. On investigation several threads of ffmpeg were consuming
the system resources. It would be worth having kdenlive produce some user
information as on the surface the system appeared frozen. After 10-15 mins the
processing had completed but this version of kdenlive barely plays that project
whereas 20.08.01 played OK.

[korganizer] [Bug 429372] New: One pop-up notification per-event instead of a single pop-up window

2020-11-19 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429372

Bug ID: 429372
Summary: One pop-up notification per-event instead of a single
pop-up window
   Product: korganizer
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS: All
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: marco.ru...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I think it would be really useful to have an option to display a per-event
pop-up notification via KNotify instead of a window. Depending on its priority,
the notification would last from some seconds to being displayed until it's
manually closed. It would be more clean and wouldn't interrupt your work, which
I find is not the case when a window is displayed. It could also be useful
because, through D-BUS, the content of the notification could be read by other
programs, which can trigger the activation of a script to do some processing
with it, think for example of automatically connecting the user to its upcoming
online meeting, of which the link is contained in the notification body.

OK, that is a first confirmation that it should work. I guess there's an issue
on Gentoo.

> Are you able to test on 5.20.3 (if I understand correctly it's in the gentoo

No. I'm not going to move my daily driver to testing packages. This bug was
carried over from 5.18 to 5.19 and when looking at the plasma-nm repository,
I've not seen any relevant commits since a while.

I have an Acer Aspire Switch Alpha 12 with a touch screen and pen. The pen
typically emulates a graphics tablet. I am on Wayland.

I was able to click on the network manager applet and see my networks. I
attempted to connect to a vpn connection (I could not scroll to the top to see
my primary connection). The tap with the pen was registered, but rather than
connect, it toggled the expand function.

I tried the same on my active connection. I tapped disconnect and instead of
disconnecting, it expanded.

[krita] [Bug 429371] New: Impossible to assign tag to a brush in master

2020-11-19 Thread Vladimir Savic
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429371

Bug ID: 429371
Summary: Impossible to assign tag to a brush in master
   Product: krita
   Version: git master
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tagging
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: vladimir.firefly.sa...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

I wanted to make my own Tag and make a list for quick approaching to most
useful (at least to me) brushes.

STEPS

1) Start Krita with preferences nuked (removed .krita dir and then tweaked
setting to my liking)
2) Go to the "Choose brush preset" button
3) Switch to FX tag
4) Pick the first one; it's "k) Blender Blur"
5) Right-click on the preset icon
6) Assign to tag -> New tag
7) I've chosen to name it TMP
8) Hit the Enter key

OBSERVED RESULT

Empty "TMP" list appears

EXPECTED RESULT

One-entry TMP list appears. The preset is hopefully "k) Blender Blur"

[krita] [Bug 429370] New: Regression in Krita's Luminosity/Shine (Sai) Blending Mode in Krita 4.4.1

2020-11-19 Thread LaTor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429370

Bug ID: 429370
Summary: Regression in Krita's Luminosity/Shine (Sai) Blending
Mode in Krita 4.4.1
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.4.1
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Color models
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: pinkn...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
In Krita 4.4.1., the Luminosity/Shine (Sai) blending layer mode is not the same
as to when the mode first came out in Krita 4.2.4. It creates a dull white,
which dulls the design. I have reported this first on the krita-artists.org
forum, where tiar looked it over and helped me to report it here, calling it a
regression.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the file in Krita 4.4.1.
2. Draw with a 100% white while the layer blending mode is Luminosity/Shine
(Sai).
3. The dull effect will appear.
4. Downgrade to Krita 4.2.4
5. Repeat step 2.
6. The original light effect will occur.

OBSERVED RESULT
Matte/dull white effect, which dulls the entire design

EXPECTED RESULT
Light shine effect from previous version, Krita 4.2.4

As far as I experimented, the sticking markers only seem to happen on the
operation FloatingTexts of MessageWidgets.
Also when the sticking happens, QGraphicsObjectWrapper::itemChange() no longer
fires (at least not for change == ItemSelectedChange && scene());
only UMLWidget::mousePressEvent() continues to get triggered.
Could it be that we have competition between QGraphicsObjectWrapper::itemChange
and UMLWidget::mousePressEvent ?

I've got `libopenconnect5` as the only openconnect package installed on KDE
Neon User Edition (5.20.3 Plasma) and I can see the option to create a Cisco
AnyConnect Compatible VPN (openconnect) in the Connections settings.

Are you able to test on 5.20.3 (if I understand correctly it's in the gentoo

[kpat] [Bug 429369] New: Very very slow to resolve

2020-11-19 Thread Alan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429369

Bug ID: 429369
Summary: Very very slow to resolve
   Product: kpat
   Version: 19.12
  Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: solver
  Assignee: co...@kde.org
  Reporter: al.knep...@gmail.com
CC: kde-games-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 133472
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=133472=edit
Cpu running all cores.

SUMMARY
This is a fresh install of Mint 20 Cinnamon 64bit.
Running an i7 guad core processor w/ turbo boost to 4GHz.
Now and then the solver will run all 8 processors at 4Ghz max. Some times for
as long as 30 seconds or more.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Simply just load and pick a game. Normally the more complex games, like Mod3
or Yukon have a higher rate of displaying this issue.

OBSERVED RESULT
Oddly I observed when playing mod3 I had a choice of 2 Jack of spades to put on
a pile. Both jacks in the top line so it made no difference which I picked,
they both would go on top of the 8 and both free a hole. But one failed and
one did not.
Also as the game progresses, the symptoms diminish. Not unexpectedly since
there are less choices to test.
Sometimes I can back up and then 'redo' the move and it solves faster.
Normally I just assume it's having a hemorrhage and there is no solution so I
'undo' the move.

In Mint 19.3 I had a lag for the solver but never more than 10 seconds. And
usually it was 'cannot determine if there is a solution' or whatever the
wording is. A delay usually meant it was not a good move. Now it's just
taking time even to say it's still a winnable game.

EXPECTED RESULT

  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: alexander.se...@web.de
  Reporter: ccgauvi...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
My custom equation just suddenly stopped working despite no change in the data
or plots.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use the following equation: 1*(1-e^(-k*x))
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
I had > 12 spreadsheets, each with Time in the X and Catalysis in the Y. Most
of these are from months ago and haven't been touched since they were initially
created (some going back to April). Since opening LabPlot 2.81 for the first
time, suddenly the equation is red, and any fits that I graphed with it have
disappeared.

EXPECTED RESULT
That my fits, which have been there for months, were still there upon
re-opening the program

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The calculated k values are still showing, but if I click "Fit" again, it just
errors them out to 1. Again, this is an equation I've been using fine for
months and have validated in GraphPad Prism as well. Hopefully there's a fix
because I really hate GraphPad Prism.

Can you download and Extract the 4.3.0 portable .zip from here:
https://download.kde.org/stable/krita/ and run the krita link inside it - then
see if it really is the change from 4.3.0 to 4.4.0 that caused a problem?

Do you have a separate profile for krita set up in your Wacom driver utility?
If you run 4.4.1 then in the Wacom driver utility, you should see krita as an
active application along the top panel. Then you should be able to set up a
specific profile for krita. Just the act of setting up a separate profile can
fix some Wacom problems but make sure that newly created profile has the
correct settings.

Have you tried changing from Wintab to WindowsInk (or vice versa) in the krita
settings and making sure that Windows-Ink is disabled/enabled as appropriate in
the Wacom driver utility?

plasmashell cpu usage jumps to ~37% and the fans kick in. Killing and
restarting plasmashell "fixes" the problem till next time.

Changing render loop to basic (as per comment 1) has no effect.

Hi,

When you build Skrooge, you can choose if you want to build it with
WebEngineWidgets or WebKitWidgets.

For that, you have to use -DSKG_WEBENGINE=OFF|ON in your CMake commande.

Is it acceptable or do you want to be able to build Skrooge without web engine
included ? Of course, this will remove some important features ("Monthly
reports", ...)

[plasma-systemmonitor] [Bug 429367] New: Does not remember sorted column

2020-11-19 Thread Kai Uwe Broulik
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429367

Bug ID: 429367
Summary: Does not remember sorted column
   Product: plasma-systemmonitor
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: ksysguard-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@privat.broulik.de
CC: ahiems...@heimr.nl, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Changing the sort order by clicking a colum is not persisted across restarts of
the application.

Also, it should perhaps default to CPU percentage for process tab like is the
case in current ksysguard?

Clicking on the process list does not let me navigate the list with arrow keys.

Even if I manage to get focus ot the list by frantically tabbing (toolbar tab
order is also reversed) the view scrolls along with using the arrow keys which
is highly distracting.

Also, pressing Delete does not prompt to terminate the process.

It's hard to tell what's wrong. Note that the automatic album monitoring is
deactivated in current digiKam versions during runtime. The setting for this is
in the collection settings. Otherwise, the metadata should be read in again via
the item menu. And then we have the "Scan for new Items" in the Tools menu,
which finds new and changed items, like the scan at the start.

`touch 'file.na'$'me'` Actually results in a file without a dollar sign in it
at all.

You would need to do `touch 'file.na'\$'me'`, and this produces a file with a
dollar sign in it as expected. Essentially the dollar sign needs to be be
escaped or else your shell interprets it it as the start of a variable.

I cannot reproduce the problem here on a full Plasma Wayland session with KWin
(openSUSE). Except for the splash screen, all context menus open on the correct
monitor, in the correct position. QSplashScreen seems to have a bug, even with
added QScreen as parent it opens incorrectly. But otherwise everything is ok.
When I look over the source code, we have set a parent almost everywhere, in
any case all menus in the menu bar.
Can the problem only be reproduced with digiKam or do Dolphin, Krita or
Gwenview show the same problem?

Maik

Why would you want to blur your own wallpaper? Wouldn't this just make it
harder to see what it is? What's the use case?
