https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432523 Bug ID: 432523 Summary: Keyboard shortcut that blocks CTRL+S (Save) Product: khelpcenter Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kde-doc-engl...@kde.org Reporter: ersan...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have only tested this with the Clipboard (Klipper) application so far, which is where I intended to use the keyboard shortcut, but whenever I set the following shortcut: CTRL + SHIFT + | (§-key on my keyboard layout), then it would prevent CTRL+S (save, default) from functioning whatsoever. The moment I disabled the keyboard shortcut again, the problem went away. I am using a Norwegian Bokmål keyboard layout that is built-in to Kubuntu. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Opening Klipper settings (Configure Clipboard) 2. Assigning keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+| (it will print CTRL+§ as a result) 3. Opening up Visual Studio Code or Kate to test, and unable to use CTRL+S. However, CTRL + SHIFT + S works as intended (Save as). OBSERVED RESULT The problem disappears whenever I remove this keyboard shortcut, or choose a different one. CTRL + | for example works just fine. So for some reason it is mixing the § sign with S(?) EXPECTED RESULT That it records CTRL+SHIFT+| instead of using the shift function on the letter SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.10 (64-bit) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If you need any additional information, feel free to get in touch. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I was running 7.1 on macOS 10.15 with mysql on a NAS and photos also stored on a NAS. I updated to macOS 11 last week, and found that digiKam wasn't supported. So I installed 7.2.0-b2. When I try to run digikam 7.2.0-b2, I first see a window that says "Scanning collections, please wait... 0%" and then almost immediately an error message says "Failed to update the database schema from version 10 to version 11. Please read the error messages printed on the console and report this error as a bug at bugs.kde.org." I'm not sure where to find the error messages. I found these messages in /var/log/system.log, but they don't seem relevant to a database migration.Feb 4 21:48:02 Dans-MBP-Green-5 com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: Coalition Cache Hit: app [57556] Feb 4 21:48:02 Dans-MBP-Green-5 digikam[44756]: getattrlist failed for /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelKBLGraphicsGLDriver.bundle/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelKBLGraphicsGLDriver: #2: No such file or directory Feb 4 21:48:02 Dans-MBP-Green-5 digikam[44756]: getattrlist failed for /Library/GPUBundles/AMDRadeonX6000GLDriver.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ATIRadeonX6000SCLib.dylib: #2: No such file or directory Feb 4 21:48:02 Dans-MBP-Green-5 digikam[44756]: getattrlist failed for /System/Library/Extensions/AMDRadeonX6000GLDriver.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ATIRadeonX6000SCLib.dylib: #2: No such file or directory Feb 4 21:48:02 Dans-MBP-Green-5 digikam[44756]: getattrlist failed for /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Resources//GLRendererFloat.bundle/GLRendererFloat: #2: No such file or directory I also downloaded the -debug version of digikam, but I don't know where to find the debug logs. Please stop jumping to conclusions - if you read the whole thread, you will find, that none of the developers asked for money. The distro is KDE Neon User Edition. She commented that if I hadn't been present, she would have thought the hard drive was broken and tried to return it. No, it doesn't. But I'm pretty sure it did at some point. If I understand Ubuntu packaging correctly, they only cherry-pick security fixes on top of openssl-1.1.1 while I have 1.1.1i. [kde] [Bug 432517] New: VLC launched from Dolphin doesn't close properly if there's certain widget
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432517 Bug ID: 432517 Summary: VLC launched from Dolphin doesn't close properly if there's certain widget Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: david.cortes.riv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I don't know whether the issue is with KDE or VLC, but VLC doesn't close properly if it was launched from dolphin after something in the session had previously activated the media player widget. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Put some media player widget in some KDE panel (the ones that have a big play/stop button). 2. Launch JuK or some other music player. Optionally play something with it and then stop it. 3. Launch dolphin. 4. From dolphin, click on some video file to open it with VLC. 5. Close the VLC window through the 'X' icon. OBSERVED RESULT VLC should close. EXPECTED RESULT The VLC window closes, but the underlying process remains active and prevents from further launching VLC windows from dolphin (i.e. if I click some other video file from dolphin, it won't launch a VLC window until I manually kill the VLC process). Launching VLC directly from the command line doesn't produce any problems with either terminating the process after clicking the 'X', or launching while another VLC process is active. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432462 --- Comment #5 from Nate Graham --- The size of the applet's popup adjusts with the font metrics and size. [krita] [Bug 423026] Can't save changes to drives that don't support "permanent version storage" on Mac
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423026 vanyossi changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG CC||ghe...@gmail.com Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #2 from vanyossi --- This is not a bug in Krita. I tested this on 4.4.2 using Parangon NTFS 10 day trial. Krita, terminal or any other app saves, an rewrites to the paragon mounted filsystem without any warning. If there is an issue, I can assure you the error is not in krita's code. On the other hand, folders cannot be named using non native file dialog though, but this is another issue altoguether. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 432503] Use correct names for Ukrainian cities
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432503 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #5 from Nate Graham --- Let me note that in https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/blob/master/applets/digital-clock/plugin/timezonesi18n.cpp, we see the current versions used as string literals, presumably for the purpose of being config file keys. If we change these, then people will lose their current settings unless we ship an update script. As for changing the user-facing strings in the i18n() calls, I don't have any opinions regarding what the best Latin transliteration of the original versions is. But I can confirm that I see "Kiev" much more commonly than "Kyiv". However I have no objections to changing them to ones that Ukrainian speakers find more appropriate. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
