[lattedock] [Bug 439388] New: Feature request: please simplify overriding the icons of launchers in the dock
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439388 Bug ID: 439388 Summary: Feature request: please simplify overriding the icons of launchers in the dock Product: lattedock Version: 0.9.11 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: michaelsaf...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Overriding icons in Latte Dock is not easy and should be. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right click an icon for an app in the dock. OBSERVED RESULT A pop-up menu is shown that includes two sections: "Actions" and "Configure". None of the sections provide an ability to configure the behavior of the launcher. EXPECTED RESULT Before "Dock Settings..." in the "Configure" section, there ought to be a "Launcher Settings..." for editing the specific launcher in question. This ought to bring up an edit widget that allows one to configure core details about the launcher, including: - Name (to be displayed on hover) - Icon (that is shown in the dock) - Command (which is executed when the launcher icon is clicked) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS OS: Kubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8 Kernel Version: 5.8.0-59-generic ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I don’t know if this was meant for me, but what I would like to see is both the groups and the individual modules being searchable. The groups exist to help organize the Settings apps. It would make sense to me that searching for “Appearance” and activating it would take me to the same place as opening the Settings app and clicking the Appearance group header. [dolphin] [Bug 439378] Merging 2 directories using rename fails with keyboard navigation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439378 --- Comment #3 from kde@grau.net --- Hi Nate, thanx for looking into this so quickly! I'm not sure this is intentional. This used to work before my last update. It works in Dolphin in all other windows I tried, e.g. press F10 to create a new directory, use the tab key to select the Cancel button, press return -> directory is not created. Press F10 again, use the tab key to navigate to the OK button, press return -> directory is created. So the return key invokes the current selection. Would be great if it did that again for the "Already exists as Folder" window as well. >From a user perspective it's surprising that it doesn't work in this particular window, but in most (all?) other windows of dolphin. Are there any usability guidelines that describe what is supposed to happen when the user presses the return key? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439378 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED CC||n...@kde.org Resolution|--- |INTENTIONAL --- Comment #2 from Nate Graham --- This is intentional; the spacebar key is what triggers the focused button/UI element. When the return/enter key also does, this is a nice little bonus, but not something you're supposed to rely on, as it requires the app to specifically implement support for that. Some do out of necessity, e.g. music players where the spacebar is often bound to the play/.pause function. EXAMPLE My health insurance company debits 10$ from my bank account on November 1st 2020. Then I use aqBanking to sync my account. It would be great if I could define a formula including variables which is used to fill in the Memo field. The formula to fill the Memo field would look like this: "Health insurance fee %%.%mm%" The result in the Memo field would look like this: "Health insurance fee 2020.11" The variable %% would fill in the year and the variable %mm% would fill in the month when the debit occurred on by online bank account. This would be very handy especially with recurring transactions, because filling in a Memo could be automated with this approach and there would be no need anymore to fill in the Memo manually. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Spectacle] [Bug 431278] Selection box is laggy while selecting an area to screenshot
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431278 --- Comment #5 from jasoncarre...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Méven Car from comment #3) > For those affected, Matt and Jason, do you experience the issue in a Wayland > session, or is it better or worse? I use X11 for the most part but tried using a wayland session and have the same issue. This lag appears to be slightly better using wayland than X11. I mainly use a single 4k monitor and sometimes I turn on a second 1080p monitor. The problem persists for me whether I use the single 4k monitor, 1080p monitor, or both monitors together. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasma-systemmonitor] [Bug 438866] plasma-systemmonitor state not saved
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438866 --- Comment #2 from Mac Michaels --- I do not close plasma system monitor before logging out. My system has 2 displays with different resolutions arranged side-by-side. I do not power off or disconnet any displays ever, because that will rearrange everything. The login session restore starts SystemMonitor on the wrong screen with the initial default page "Overview" instead of the last selected page "History". Activies are set to whichever activity is selected when I login (which was the one active when I logged out). All other application's activities are properly set by session restore.
